All store items now cost 1 Gem or 1 Sigil, with free rewards given to The Elder Scrolls: Blades players
Elder Scrolls: Blades is a free-to-play action role-playing game made by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It brought the familiar Elder Scrolls gameplay to mobile devices as a first-person experience, launching worldwide in May 2020 after being available in early access for a year.
Okay, so this game is set in a classic fantasy world – think medieval towns, huge castles, and those creepy dungeons we all love. You play as this former super-agent, a ‘Blade,’ who’s coming back to find their hometown totally wrecked. Basically, you’re tasked with rebuilding it from the ground up. That means taking on quests, saving people, and just generally gathering everything you need to get the town back on its feet. It sounds awesome!
Most players enjoyed the game, though many were unhappy with how it tried to earn money. A lot of people say they would have played much more if the game hadn’t included those elements. Players have also frequently asked for an offline mode, but the developers haven’t indicated that one is planned anytime soon.
As announced, everything in the in-game store is now only 1 Gem or 1 Sigil until the game shuts down. Plus, we’re giving you a free pack of resources so you can enjoy the rest of the game before the servers are turned off.
This is the second year in a row that a game from the series has been shut down, after the strategy card game The Elder Scrolls: Legends ended on January 30, 2025. If you’re looking for a medieval simulation experience from this franchise, The Elder Scrolls: Castles is currently available.
