How Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal fell ‘head over high heels for each other’ to become first Strictly ‘romance’ of the season
As a seasoned Strictly Come Dancing enthusiast, I must admit that I’ve seen my fair share of romantic entanglements among the contestants over the years. However, the reported blossoming romance between Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal has certainly caught my attention.
Last Saturday’s performance saw Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal share a kiss on live TV while dancing their passionate foxtrot. It seems that off-camera, the Strictly pair have also been growing closer.
On the set of the BBC One dance show, there’s a lot of whispering going around due to the intense affection between the participating pair.
It’s no longer a hidden fact, as those in the know confirm, that the pairing of the cast and crew members in August sparked mutual feelings of affection, making it more than just a professional bond.
One said: ‘Pete has fallen head over heels for Jowita. He thinks she is amazing in every way.
It’s clear that reciprocal feelings exist on her part, and their relationship has advanced considerably. In private, they exhibit an affectionate behavior typical of a smitten pair.
It seems like the series might be witnessing its first romantic relationship between two contestants, creating quite a buzz among viewers. They’ve certainly caught everyone’s attention.
Other competitors are genuinely thrilled for them, their faces constantly light up with smiles. It’s heartwarming indeed, and it undoubtedly adds a touch of positivity to the program after the unfortunate incidents involving Giovanni Pernice and Amanda Abbington.
They seemed to get along quite well from the start, and at the beginning of last month, they were spotted snuggling up together in a noticeable way at the National Television Awards.
There have been instances where dance instructor Ms. Przystal, aged 30 and the Polish ballroom champion who led Hamza Yassin to victory in 2022, has been romantically involved with one of her fellow Strictly cast members. She previously had a brief relationship with a former professional dancer from the show.
Pernice, 34, last year and was also linked to dancer Arduino Bertoncello.
Before that, she was in a long-term relationship with her dance partner Michael Danilczuk.
As stated on their website, the pair crossed paths in 2013 at a summer dance workshop held in Krakow, Poland. Initially, they didn’t take a liking to each other; however, after a year of working together, they developed feelings and fell in love.
2015 saw them concluding their competitive dancing journey as a duo, yet they continued to dazzle audiences worldwide with Burn The Floor’s live dance performances. Unfortunately, they parted ways about two years back.
