As a dedicated follower and admirer of the Presley dynasty, I find myself deeply moved by Riley Keough’s heartfelt interview with Oprah. The poignant recollections of her mother Lisa Marie Presley‘s childhood experiences, especially those involving her father Elvis, offer a rare insight into the life of an icon and a woman who was as complex as she was remarkable.

In a sneak peek of her interview set to be aired on October 8, actress Riley Keough offers some intriguing and striking statements to Oprah Winfrey.

The actress from Daisy Jones and The Six shared that her mother, Lisa Marie Presley, sensed something was amiss on the day when her renowned musician father, Elvis Presley, passed away.

Presley passed away unexpectedly in August 1977 at his Graceland estate at the age of 42.

At the age of nine, Lisa awoke with a sense that something wasn’t quite right, as Riley explained to Oprah.

Additionally, Keough mentioned that on numerous occasions, her mother would express concern for her father due to observing him looking unkempt in the bathroom or needing to hold onto support while moving around.

When Oprah added if there was a lot of ‘chaos’ at home with Elvis, she said yes.

As an ardent admirer, let me share that Riley too provided a heartfelt missive penned by her mom, Lisa, during her childhood. The letter expressed Lisa’s fervent wish for Riley’s grandfather (her dad) to remain alive.

Riley is endorsing the memoir, “From Here To The Great Unknown,” written by her late mother, which she assisted in completing; it will be released soon.

Riley also said the night before Elvis died, she had a ‘sense’ he would not be around much longer.

On Tuesday, October 8th at 8 PM Eastern Time, don’t miss “An Oprah Special” featuring the Presley family: Elvis, Lisa Marie, and Riley, airing on CBS TV.

Lisa Marie, who was 54 years old, passed away due to complications from a blockage in her digestive system, specifically the small intestine. This issue arose following weight loss surgery she had undergone some years before.

This comes after Keough shared a sweet Instagram post about her mother.

The celebrity expressed deep admiration and pride in their mother, noting that she consistently upheld honesty and truthfulness, even when it was difficult for her or others.

‘It was a really aspirational quality and just being around it was liberating.

‘She handled her autobiography similarly, with the aim of sharing a relatable human experience. I believe we were fortunate to complete it on her behalf, as she intended to resonate with readers.’

She concluded her message with: ‘The release of ‘FROM HERE TO THE GREAT UNKNOWN’ is just five days away, on October 8th, with love ♥️’

Lisa Marie is the daughter of rock icon Elvis Presley and actress Priscilla Presley.

She was also wed to the King of Pop Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage.

Keough, who is the son of Lisa Marie’s ex-husband Danny Keough, was endorsing Lisa Marie’s memoir titled “From Here To The Great Unknown.

It will be published by Pan MacMillan on October 8, 2024.

In 2022, just before her passing, Presley requested Keough’s help in penning her memoir. This work is expected to include previously unreleased interviews of the deceased celebrity.

Riley will also narrate part of the audiobook along with movie star Julia Roberts.

The audiobook will also feature never-before-heard selections from Lisa Marie’s tape recordings.

The books is about growing up as the daughter of rock king Elvis and actress Priscilla Presley.

According to Riley, since her mother was Elvis Presley’s child, there was always a lot of discussion, debate, and analysis surrounding her.

As a devoted admirer, my ardent wish in completing this memoir was to delve deeper than the glossy tabloid portrayals of her, aiming instead to uncover the authentic essence that lay at her very heart.

To fully bring out her multi-faceted character: a loving and nurturing parent, a spirited free spirit, a loyal and fearless confidante, an unsung creative genius, honest, humorous, scarred by past traumas, filled with joy, mourning her losses, she was all of these things and more, throughout her extraordinary life.

‘I want to give voice to my mother in a way that eluded her while she was alive.’
