Commandos: Origins ‘Operation Prelude’ Demo Now Available for Xbox Series X|S
As a seasoned gamer with decades of tactical warfare simulations under my belt, I must admit that the demo for Commandos: Origins has piqued my interest like a German radar system does to an RAF pilot. The nostalgic World War II setting, combined with the modern twist on the classic Commando series, is simply irresistible.
Even though there’s no specific release date set beyond ‘this year’, team Kalyso and game studio Claymore Game Studios have already made available a demo for the anticipated strategy game, Commandos: Origins. This demo presents an exclusive test mission to spark your curiosity about the upcoming World War II real-time strategy title.
Under the codename ‘Operation Prelude’, this demonstration allows you to direct both the Green Beret and the Marine on a mission to the Channel Islands. By utilizing each team’s distinct abilities, your goal is to disable an advanced German radar system that has resulted in increased losses for the RAF.
The demo offers a “custom-made map” where you can master the real-time strategy (RTS) mechanics and the fundamental single-player experience of Origins, ensuring you’re well-prepared for the fourteen campaign missions when the complete game is released. The final version will feature a six-member Commando squad and multiplayer mode as well.
This upcoming game titled “Commandos: Origins” will be released on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC later in the year. It’s going to be accessible day one through Xbox Game Pass. You can grab a preview of the game here by downloading the demo.
