The mum of five said: ‘She’s so pretty! I remember watching her on Celebs Go Dating.’
Katie emphasized that she doesn’t feel anxious about Jasmine being five years older than her son, pointing out: ‘It’s quite amusing when your children grow up and start dating and you encounter their partners as adults, because they are adults now. It’s not like dealing with young school kids anymore.’
Katie, involved in a relationship with Married At First Sight’s JJ Slater who is 31 years old, commented further: ‘It’s strange because she’s only 23 while he’s 18. Age gaps can occur in relationships, and as you grow older, the age gap becomes less significant.’
Katie learned from her daughter, Princess, that Junior hadn’t shared any information about Jasmine directly with her. This tidbit came to her after Princess and Peter Andre met together.
Answering a fan question about whether parents should be honest about their feelings toward a child’s girlfriend or boyfriend, Katie recalled a messy past experience with Junior.
‘There’s being honest and there’s being honest with how you feel about your son’s girlfriends.’
