FISSURE announces $15,000 Deadlock tournament: How to sign up, format

As a seasoned esports enthusiast with years of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that this Deadlock tournament by FISSURE is nothing short of exhilarating! With a $15,000 prize pool for a game still in beta, it’s a clear indication of the potential this new MOBA holds.

This is an incredible prize pool for a game that’s still in beta.

In October, tournament organizer FISSURE is set to stage a $15,000 Deadlock competition, marking the inaugural European event for this new Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game, backed by betting firm BetBoom.

As an excited fan, I’m eagerly anticipating the kickoff of FISSURE Underworld! The event will commence with two open qualifiers, the first running from October 5th to 6th, and the second from October 9th to 10th. Deadlock players hailing from Western and Eastern Europe have a fantastic opportunity to participate and strive for a spot on the main stage. I can’t wait to see who will rise to the challenge!

At the central arena of FISSURE Underworld, we’ll see six specially-invited squads along with two teams that earned their place through open qualifiers. The group stage will unfold from October 11 to 12, while the playoffs are set for October 13.

With great anticipation, we unveil the inaugural professional tournament for Deadlock titled FISSURE Underworld! The head of esports at FISSURE, Dmitry Novokshonov, shared his enthusiasm about this event in an official release, expressing hope that it marks the start of many more tournaments to come.

Group stage

In this setup, the teams will be divided into two groups, each consisting of four teams. FISSURE will employ a system where teams are eliminated twice before they’re completely out of the tournament. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs. For the initial matches, the series will be a single game, while subsequent matches will involve best-of-three games.

Playoffs

As a diehard fan, I’m thrilled to share that every match this season is going to be a ‘best-of-three series’. What makes it even more exciting is the fact that my favorite team, FISSURE, has decided to go with a single-elimination format for these games. Can’t wait to see how they fare!
