As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for celebrity trends and a deep appreciation for the rich tapestry of their lives, I find myself constantly captivated by the stories that unfold before us. The latest chapter in the timeless love story between Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones is yet another testament to the enduring power of companionship, shared passions, and a good game of golf.

Before hitting the ball at the Alfred Dunhill Gold Championship in St Andrews, Michael Douglas positioned his hands around his face to show his intense focus on the game.

80-year-old actress from Basic Instinct was seen participating in a golf tournament held in Scotland on Thursday.

When I prepared myself for the 2nd hole on the golf course, I found myself partnered with actress Kathryn Newton, ready to play together.

He cut a smart figure in a black jumper and grey trousers as the rain held off as he played on the famous Scottish course.

Michael felt at ease wearing a pair of white sneakers and chose a navy-colored cap, upon which he perched a pair of sunglasses.

Michael later looked pleased with himself as he made a putt on the 17th green.

He looked in his element as he concentrated on the game while spectators snapped photos of him.

168 professional golfers kicked off the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at Carnoustie on Thursday, teaming up with 168 celebrities and amateur players for the initial three rounds.

Each group of golfers will take on a different course per round before a cut on Saturday evening.

After that, the finalists will make their way to the historic Old Course in St Andrews on Sunday for the concluding round. It is during this last competition that both the individual and team champions will be announced.

After Michael and his spouse, Catherine Zeta-Jones, celebrated their birthdays by sharing heartfelt tributes about one another on social media.

On Instagram, Wednesday saw each half of the pair (both born on September 25) express heartfelt homages to their beloved partners, celebrating their unique day together.

55-year-old Welsh actress shared a throwback picture from her and Michael’s joint birthday celebration 25 years ago, marking the start of their relationship.

Michael embraced Catherine, giving her a gentle cheek kiss, all the while she returned a radiant smile towards the lens.

She titled the post: ‘Celebrating Birthdays, Both Michael’s and Mine! Look at us 25 years back! My heart is filled with love for you.’

Moreover, it was disclosed that the picture was snapped by their acquaintance, Jean Pigozzi – a renowned photographer – on one of their lively evenings in New York City.

A woman with two children, who co-parents with Michael, recently uploaded a monochrome picture of him on her Instagram Stories, accompanied by the caption: ‘Wishing you a Happy Birthday, my dear spouse.’

At the same time, Michael shared a beautiful picture of Catherine with this message: “For my birthday sister, I’m filled with love for you! I wish you a fantastic new year!

In the comments section, Catherine replied: ‘Thank you sweetheart!!!!’

In May, Michael shared a heartfelt story on the daytime talk show Lorraine, revealing when he knew his spouse was his ultimate match.

Michael Douglas reminisced about the past when he recollected the time he developed feelings for Catherine, and it was their shared love for golf that brought them together.

In conversation with Ross King, he mentioned that Catherine has a fondness for golf. Interestingly enough, their initial bond was formed around this shared interest.

‘Things were looking good and I said ‘What do you think of golf?’ She said ‘Oh, I love golf!’, and I said ‘Oh, you do?’. That’s too good to be true.’
