Developer Rogueside has announced the upcoming release of Best Served Cold, a captivating murder mystery with a narrative focus, set in the fictional city capital of Bukovie known as Tzaran. In this game, you’ll assume the role of a bartender protagonist, working at a speakeasy bar where suspects and witnesses gather to drink and converse.
In this scenario, you’ll team up with a young detective to solve a series of baffling murders. To clear your own involvement in operating an illegal speakeasy, you agree to assist him. By serving patrons drinks, you can encourage them to open up, thereby gathering crucial evidence and ultimately solving the case.
‘The Nightcap’ is the nickname of the speakeasy in question, a popular spot frequented by an eclectic mix of individuals from different walks of life, whom you must win over through charisma, persuasion, and alcohol. Each day concludes at your apartment, where you can analyze any clues and evidence collected to make fresh deductions.
Equipped with fresh details, you can return to the bar tomorrow for inquiries from customers, all while serving appropriate drinks and immersing yourself in a captivating environment reminiscent of 1920’s Bucharest. Best Served Cold is on its way to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC; however, the release date has not been disclosed as of now.
