As a dedicated follower of the glamorous world of reality TV, I must say it’s heartening to witness Jamie Laing and his lovely wife Sophie Habboo finally securing their first family home. Having watched them navigate the turbulent waters of Made In Chelsea for years, it feels like a milestone in their lives that I can genuinely celebrate.

Jamie Laing and wife Sophie Habboo have purchased their first family home together.

On the popular reality TV series “Made In Chelsea,” the pair served as ambassadors for the upscale neighborhood. Yet, they’ve recently opted to purchase their initial residence in another part of West London, having earlier deemed Chelsea as monotonous.

After spending three years renting an apartment in Notting Hill, Jamie and Sophie, who got married in a grand ceremony in Spain last year, were handed the keys to a new house in that neighborhood.

The new abode has a basement, which they will turn into a media room, as well as a garden.

They plan to renovate the property, with a kitchen created by the upmarket firm Smallbone.

Last year, during an interview, Jamie, aged 35, mentioned that he chose to reside in a rental property in the vibrant district of Notting Hill because he felt that Chelsea was too mundane for his taste.

Back in May, he shared with The Times that for the past three years, they have been residing in a two-bedroom flat in Notting Hill. Earlier, he owned an apartment in Chelsea, but he found Chelsea rather unexciting.

Additionally, we found it necessary to relocate due to the past of the apartment – Sophie was uncomfortable knowing that my former girlfriends had resided there.

He is the founder of vegan sweets company Candy Kittens and podcast firm Jampot Productions and is a co-presenter on Radio 1’s drive-time slot, Going Home, alongside Vick Hope and Katie Thistleton.

In January of this year, Sophie, who is 30 years old, shared that she and Jamie had been eagerly searching for their initial family home, expressing a sense of urgency in their efforts.

At that point, the ex-pair from Made In Chelsea resided in an apartment within the heart of London, yet they were actively seeking a home situated in a more suburban neighborhood.

Following their wedding in May of the previous year, Sophie expressed her intention to move into a new home with Jamie, yet they are facing challenges navigating the current real estate market.

During a private conversation with TopMob, Sophie shared her aspirations for what’s ahead and their plans to depart from the vibrant urban nightlife with Jamie.

She said: ‘We are desperately looking to move into our family home.

We’re on a search… we’re scouring far and wide. We haven’t found what we’re after yet, but we’re diligently searching, and that makes it all quite thrilling.

‘Jamie and I are looking everywhere, we have no set place… it’s a tough market out there.

I’m yearning for some vegetation nearby; I prefer a living environment that is less bustling. At the moment, we’re situated in a lively, festive district, but I aspire to relocate to an area where there’s more greenery and it’s peacefully quiet, with people walking their pets around me.

‘You do have to think about the future… I am getting very excited about it, but nothing has been found yet.’

Sophie and Jamie initially crossed paths while working on the E4 series “Made In Chelsea,” however, they’ve since decided to concentrate on separate ventures, moving away from the show.

In the year 2020, Jamie was a cast member on Strictly. Currently, he manages his sweets business, Candy Kittens. Alongside his wife Sophie, they co-host their shared podcast titled “Newlyweds.
