As a cinephile with a penchant for psychological thrillers and a deep appreciation for authentic performances, I find myself drawn to Sarah Paulson’s latest venture, “Hold Your Breath.” Her dedication to portraying her characters truthfully is truly commendable, as evidenced by her willingness to immerse herself in the dusty, wind-whipped landscapes of New Mexico for this film.

On a bustling Wednesday in New York City, Sarah Paulson captivated onlookers with her radiant appearance as she showcased a shimmering outfit during promotional events for her forthcoming horror movie, Hold Your Breath.

Actress from American Horror Story, aged 49, who recently addressed the speculation about living apart from her partner Holland Taylor, displayed a radiant grin upon arriving at the Bravo Clubhouse in New York City.

The star wowed in a long-sleeved, dark blue dress that was made of a sparkling, sequin material.

Paulson put on a pair of sleek, black, closed shoes and accessorized with a pair of shiny silver earrings, enhancing her stylish appearance.

Sarah’s chestnut-brown hair was styled with a side parting, cascading gently in soft waves almost reaching the lower end of her shoulders.

Her makeup had a timeless touch; it consisted of a coat of mascara on her eyelashes and a delicate application of eye-shadow around her eyes.

Her cheeks acquired a gentle rosy hue, making them glow beautifully, and she adorned her lips with a striking crimson shade to complete the look.

In the Hudson Square area of New York City, Paulson was seen casually walking down the street, momentarily showcasing her stylish attire.

Preparation is underway as Beauty gears up to unveil her gripping psychological thriller, “Hold Your Breath,” set to debut on Hulu this coming Thursday, October 3rd.

Right alongside Sarah, a stellar lineup of actors has joined this exciting project – Amiah Miller, Annaleigh Ashford, the remarkable Ebon Moss-Bachrach from “The Bear,” and none other than Alona Jane Robbins! I can hardly contain my enthusiasm!

The premise is, ‘In 1930s Oklahoma amid the region’s horrific dust storms, a woman is convinced that a sinister presence is threatening her family,’ per an IMDB synopsis.

On Tuesday this past week, Paulson discussed the upcoming Hulu film during a guest spot on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

She explained that the movie ‘differentiates itself from a traditional psychological thriller, because it’s essentially about a mother who is grieving the loss of her youngest child that she lost to scarlet fever.’

As a lifestyle aficionado, I find myself often drawn to the gripping tales of yesteryears, such as the harrowing era of the Dust Bowl during the 1930s in our nation. Picture this: a formidable wall of dust, like a black wave rolling across the landscape, a chilling reminder of those challenging times.

Jimmy interjected, “That’s quite terrifying,” and Paulson chimed in, “My character starts acting a bit eccentric!” or alternatively, “Jimmy interrupted to express, ‘That’s really frightening,’ while Paulson noted that her role becomes somewhat unhinged!

She also revealed that the original title of the film was simply, Dust, before the movie was officially called Hold Your Breath.

Sarah continued, “However, a few potential names were proposed…” Fallon responded, “Dust doesn’t seem very thrilling.

Paulson subsequently mentioned, ‘A few options for the title had been proposed. One of these possibilities was ‘It Pervades Within.’

As Sarah made a humorous comment, the crowd started chuckling, with her saying, “Oh, it definitely does not! It definitely does not! Not at all getting inside!

During a recent conversation with USA Today, Sarah mentioned that they filmed parts of the movie in New Mexico, specifically capturing the dust bowl sequences on location.

It was disclosed that actual dirt particles were whirled about on the filming location using fans, occasionally attaining speeds as high as 75 miles per hour.

‘In situations where the dust became excessive, making it difficult to see, or when particles entered my eye, we had a special signal that we would use as a communication method.’

I found myself engaging in a brief back-and-forth discussion with them regarding the balance between making the scenes potentially hazardous and incredibly realistic.

I’d often ask, ‘Could you please give me a bit more intensity, just a touch more wind or dust in the atmosphere?’ Because I believed that the more authentic the situation felt to me, the more genuine my portrayal would become.

The star added, ‘I’m just interested in authenticity. I’m interested in a kind of rigorous honesty in my work and in my life.’

At times, it may also bring unwanted things, such as a large speck of dust accidentally getting into your eye.

The film titled “Hold Your Breath,” co-directed by Karrie Crouse and Will Joines, made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival exactly a month ago, in September.

Last month, I graced the red carpet at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, arm-in-arm with my partner, Holland Taylor, who was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. On this special night, I chose to don a stylish blue and black gown that left quite an impression.
