avex pictures Inc. has announced that pre-registration is now open for their deck-building roguelike RPG, Made in Abyss ~An Irredeemable Journey of Mysteries (also known as Made in Abyss Roguelite RPG), on iOS. The game, developed by Nobollel Inc., is based on the popular Made in Abyss series and was originally announced in May 2025.

Made in Abyss ~An Irredeemable Journey of Mysteries~ is a role-playing game where you build a deck of cards and explore a dangerous world, based on the popular dark fantasy series Made in Abyss. I’ve been looking forward to learning more about it since it was announced, and I’m really thrilled it’s finally here! Players will get to collect items, fight monsters, and delve into the abyss as a Cave Raider.

I’m really excited as an anime fan to collect and improve cards with popular characters like Riko, Reg, and Nanachi. Collecting relics also unlocks special abilities for your cave explorations. Plus, you can influence how each adventure goes by choosing different paths.

The game seems really good so far, but it’s still too soon to say for sure. I like the idea of balancing resources while exploring deeper levels and battling powerful creatures like the Crimson Splitjaw – that gameplay loop sounds fun. My biggest concern is that it’s designed for portrait mode instead of landscape, which feels a bit limiting.

The mobile game Made in Abyss ~An Irredeemable Journey of Mysteries is available for pre-registration on iOS through the App Store. The game is currently scheduled to launch on September 23, 2026. Pre-registration for Android devices will be announced soon.
