Mayci Neeley breaks silence on whether any Mormon Wives stars were involved in MomTok 'soft-swinging' scandal

As a dedicated follower who has closely watched the lives of these Mormon women unfold through their reality show and social media, I can say that Mayci Neeley’s recent interview shed some light on the infamous MomTok ‘soft-swinging’ scandal. It’s clear that she was not involved in the controversy, unlike Taylor Paul who admitted to being a part of it.

In a recent development, Mayci Neeley has decided to speak up about the allegations surrounding the ‘soft-swinging’ scandal on MomTok involving her co-stars from Mormon Wives, which made headlines two years back on social media.

In the year 2022, I shared an unexpected revelation about my personal life on TikTok – my former spouse and I were part of a non-traditional relationship dynamic known as swinging. This disclosure sparked speculation about the private lives of other #MomTok influencers, casting a shadow over our community.

In her chat with Jana Kramer on the Whine Down podcast, Neeley made it clear that Paul is the only character in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives series who engages in ‘swinging’.

‘None of the swingers besides Taylor are in the show,’ she said.

During her time as a member of MomTok, a collective of TikTok creators predominantly from the Mormon faith, Neeley steered clear of the ensuing dispute.

‘I was in MomTok but I wasn’t part of the scandal,’ she said.

Neeley said she understood people were likely to associate all of MomTok with the swingers.

Neeley clarified, “People might assume, ‘They’re trying to hide something,’ but let me assure you, we were completely clueless. We didn’t have any idea about what was happening backstage.

She hinted at suspecting they were into swinging based on observations alone, but without any definitive proof. However, it wasn’t until the scandal broke out and spread online that everyone became aware of their lifestyle.

In simpler terms, Neeley stated that Taylor chose to expose her ‘soft-swinging’ to clear up accusations of infidelity, as some individuals within the MomTok community were reportedly spreading rumors about Taylor being unfaithful.

She carried out the action due to internet gossip suggesting she had left her marriage and been unfaithful, but in reality, that’s not what transpired.

It seems that a few members in the MomTok group might have been indicating agreement, as they favored a comment suggesting that Taylor had been unfaithful.

When a MomTok member liked the rumor, it helped spread the rumor further, leading Taylor to address the situation and clarify matters.

Here’s another way of expressing it in clear and natural language: ‘So, Taylor clarified that what had been said wasn’t accurate. She felt compelled to correct the situation because she didn’t want to be perceived as being in the wrong.’

Neeley did know the women involved in the scandal, adding ‘we all made videos together’.

She mentioned that they had the option to appear on the show if they chose to, but she presumed they declined participation because of Taylor, and another reason possibly being their mental well-being.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the show has indeed been officially renewed for a new season! It’s a pleasure to know that the entire original cast will be back, ready to continue their captivating performances.

Ever since its debut on Hulu on September 6, the program has been an extraordinary hit among viewers.

Our main characters include Jennifer Affleck, Demi Engemann, Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Neeley, Jessi Ngatikaura, as well as Paul and Layla Taylor.

Despite the fierce disagreements among the women during season one, they’ve all agreed to return for season two according to TMZ.

It’s being reported that pre-production is moving quickly in Utah, with the cast set to start filming the new season within the next week.
