As a lifelong fan of Sir Elton John, reading about his recent health challenges and subsequent recovery fills me with admiration and respect. The resilience he has shown throughout his career, from overcoming personal struggles to performing at some of the world’s biggest stages, is truly inspiring.

Sir Elton John humorously remarked that not many parts of him remain intact, since he’s been without various organs due to multiple health problems.

The renowned musician, now 77 years old, who concluded his global Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour last summer and stepped away from touring, expressed heartfelt gratitude to those who stood by him during his health challenges.

During a heart-to-heart conversation following the showing of Elton John: Never Too Late at the 62nd New York Film Festival on Tuesday, the artist behind Tiny Dancer openly discussed the multiple body parts and organs he’s had surgically removed.

The iconic performer confessed: ‘To be honest with you, there’s not much of me left.

I lack tonsils, adenoids, an appendix, a prostate, and neither do I have a right hip, a left knee, or a right knee.

Indeed, all that remains with me is my remaining hip on the left side. Yet, I persist. Words cannot express the gratitude I hold for you; you are the ones who have kept me going.

During the yearly film festival, Elton captivated fans with his remarkable singing abilities, performing a heartfelt piece on the piano at the event’s stage.

The Grammy-winner also paid a sweet tribute to his husband David Furnish and their sons Zachary and Elijah for making him ‘the happiest man in the world’.

The symbol of the Rocketeer expressed to the crowd that he has never experienced joy quite as profound as what he is feeling at present, and shared his reasoning for taking a break from touring live shows.

He shared that after reaching the age of 77, he felt it was time to end his touring days. He has accomplished everything he set out to do in music, and now feels satisfied with his achievements. He has traveled extensively and experienced a lot, and is content with where he’s been and what he’s done.

‘I’ve still got to make room because I’m still going to have music in my life.

What matters most to me are David, Zachary, and Elijah, as well as my family and friends. I’ve discovered a sense of perfect happiness, and I couldn’t be more ecstatic about it.

This past month, I discovered that my idol, Sir Elton John, has been dealing with a severe eye infection that’s left him with reduced vision in one of his eyes. It’s been an emotional revelation for me as a devoted fan.

The performer, wrapping up his tours last summer, detailed his recent activities as taking time to rest at home.

Recovery is happening gradually for me, yet the progress is quite sluggish, so it may be a while until my affected eye regains its vision.

I am incredibly thankful for the fantastic medical team consisting of doctors and nurses, as well as my loved ones, who have provided me with exceptional care during the past few weeks.

After a tranquil summer spent at home recovering, Elton feels optimistic about the advancements he’s achieved in his healing and restoration process so far.

Although retiring from touring last year he did perform at his star-studded Oscar party in March.

According to reports, he’s allegedly discussing the production of a musical using his renowned collection of timeless tunes, such as “Your Song,” “Candle in the Wind,” and “Tiny Dancer.” The Sun claims this to be true.

During a conversation with David Furnish at the 32nd annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars viewing party, he shared that they often contemplate it.

David, who is 61 years old, shared: “We frequently examine a musical catalog. So far, nothing has caught my attention fully that truly encapsulates our vision… I believe if we were to undertake it, we’d aim for something groundbreaking, thrilling, and distinctively unique.

As a lifestyle aficionado, I’m always eager to embrace innovative concepts! This catalog is truly remarkable, but let me share some insights about my current workload. At present, I find myself immersed in the creation of no less than two other musical productions. Given this situation, I must admit that I’m rather swamped at the moment and might not be able to accommodate additional projects immediately. However, I eagerly look forward to exploring potential collaborations once my current commitments have been fulfilled.

2021 looks packed for Elton, with his Devil Wears Prada production slated to debut in Plymouth in July, and his musical on the life of televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker, titled Tammy Faye, preparing for a Broadway premiere later in the year.

At his own event’s red carpet, it was challenging for Elton to walk, as he had undergone a knee replacement surgery in January.

In a recent health update, David shared that Elton has a scheduled knee replacement surgery coming up within the next few weeks. This way, Elton should be fully prepared and ready for the summer.

He explained: ‘He’s doing amazing. He’s having another knee done in a couple of weeks and by the time the summer rolls around, he’ll have two brand new spanking knees. I think you’ll see him breakdancing down the carpet next year.’

Some of the world’s biggest stars descended on the glitzy event to watch the 96th Academy Awards unfold and the event raised a record £8.4million.

After chatting with celebrities like Elizabeth Hurley, Heidi Klum, and Julia Fox, the music icon took the stage to play a mix of his most popular songs.
