Here Are All the Love Is Blind Couples Who Are Still Together

As I read through these heartwarming stories of love and commitment, I can’t help but feel a sense of admiration for these couples who dared to take a leap of faith on a reality TV show and found their happily ever after. Each one of them has faced unique challenges, from interracial relationships to age gaps, but they have managed to navigate through it all, proving that love truly knows no boundaries.

Who doesn’t enjoy a charming encounter? And isn’t it adorable to chat with someone unknown via a wall? The new season of Love Is Blind begins on Wednesday, streaming on Netflix. This popular reality dating series has resulted in numerous marriages, but also countless heartaches since its debut in 2020.

This year, set in Washington D.C., there are 29 singles participating who, similar to past contestants, have entered the pods in search of a meaningful connection with someone they can’t see. In the end, they must decide if they want to marry the person they got engaged to without seeing them first. The show is often referred to as an “experiment” by hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey, focusing on the timeless question – does love truly disregard appearances?

However, does this experiment yield successful results? Let’s take a look at the couples from the show who responded “I do” at their wedding and have continued to stay together.

Season 1, Atlanta

36-year-old Lauren Speed-Hamilton and her partner Cameron Hamilton, who are an interracial couple, won the hearts of many when they got engaged on the show that aired in February 2020. They continue to be happy together, and recently renewed their wedding vows during their fifth anniversary in November 2023.

During the discussion, Cameron expressed his conviction about an experiment designed to eliminate factors like ethnicity, race, social background, and most significantly, physical appearance. He emphasized that these elements are irrelevant for this particular study.

But the pair weren’t the only couple to tie the knot during season one.

Amber Pike, aged 32, and Matt Barnett, 33, exchanged vows and have remained a couple since then. Five years ago, Barnett shared that he managed to persuade Amber to marry him. Unbeknownst to her, she’d be stuck with his quirky behaviors. In an anniversary Instagram post, Barnett expressed gratitude for Amber being his partner in crime, his rock, and for tolerating his less-than-impressive attempts at humor.

Season 2, Chicago

It’s disappointing to note that none of the couples from season 2 of the reality show, which premiered in February 2022, are still together. Jarrette Jones and Iyanna McNeely, both aged 34 and 30 respectively, got married on the finale episode but divorced by November 2022. Similarly, Danielle Ruhl, 31, and Nick Thompson, 39, who also tied the knot on the show, have since parted ways.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been navigating some incredibly tough times – much like many of us who are going through a difficult period or a life-changing event. As emotions ebb and flow, I’ve found myself moving through cycles of grief. This journey has been eye-opening, teaching me valuable lessons that I carry with me, even as I anticipate more insights to come.

Season 3, Dallas

In October 2022, the third installment of “Love is Blind” aired, where two pairs tied the knot. Among them, Alexa Lemieux, aged 30, and Brennon Lemieux, aged 34, captured viewers’ hearts as their love story unfolded. Remarkably, they’re still happily married, and since their on-screen wedding, they have added a new member to their family. They shared the exciting news of their newborn in an exclusive conversation with “PEOPLE”, and announced the arrival of their child back in August through an Instagram post.

In the Season 3 finale, Colleen Reed, aged 28, and Matt Bolton, aged 30, said their vows, and they’re still happily married today. During the series, Bolton faced criticism for his behavior towards Reed, and after the show ended, they chose to live separately. However, they have since decided to cohabit, revealing during the season 6 reunion that they now reside together in Dallas.

In an unexpected manner, I believe fate dropped an angel in my path this past November. This divine intervention brought forth obstacles that tested us, yet allowed us to evolve together. Beyond these hurdles, we found ourselves opening up heart and soul to one another, leading us to a place where love blossomed. Love might not be simple, but I wouldn’t trade it with anyone else for the world.

Season 4, Seattle

As a devoted fan of Love is Blind, I must say that for some couples during season 4, which premiered in March 2023, love wasn’t exactly smooth sailing. Zack Goytowski, aged 34, called off his first engagement with Irina Solomonova. However, things took an unexpected turn when he tied the knot with Bliss Poureetezadi-Goytowski, who is also 35 years old, on the show itself. Interestingly enough, Zack had been in a relationship with both women within those pods. To add to their story, this dynamic duo has recently added a new member to their family – a baby girl born earlier this year.

Two years ago today, with our loved ones gathered around us, on the verge of making the most daring choice of our lives, I could hardly imagine where we’d end up now. All I was certain of was the profound love I felt within me – a love that had been my elusive quest for my whole life. That was all I needed to take the leap.

Kwame Appiah (age 34) and his wife Chelsea Griffin Appiah (age 32), who were once featured on “Love is Blind”, continue to be a married couple. In an open conversation with Tudum, they shared their journey of blending their lives, lifestyles, families, and overcoming challenges, including disapproval from Appiah’s mother on the show and her absence at their wedding. Despite these hurdles, the duo has been diligently nurturing their relationship, and joyously celebrated their second marriage anniversary in May.

On June 12th, the anniversary of the historic Supreme Court decision in Loving v. Virginia which legalized interracial marriages in the U.S., the couple posted an emotional message. They expressed their awe at how far society has had to advance, noting that it wasn’t so long ago when different races were prohibited from marrying or living together. In their caption, they celebrated the progress made thus far, while expressing hope for continued advancement in the future. They emphasized that love always prevails.

As a film aficionado putting it in my own words, Brett Brown, 37, and his beloved partner Tiffany Pennywell Brown, 38, who have won many hearts, are still going strong. Their love story unfolded on the screen, and later, they exchanged vows in Portland. They’ve embarked on numerous journeys together, from the bustling streets of Japan to the sun-kissed beaches of Jamaica. In an Instagram post back in April 2023, they shared their heartfelt sentiment: “We met in a way that seemed straight out of a movie script, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.” They simply captioned it, “This is us, this is our story. Meet the Browns!

Season 5, Houston

Despite the age gap and some drama during their on-screen romance in October 2023 due to 33-year-old Lydia Velez Gonzalez’s previous relationship with another contestant, Velez Gonzalez and 26-year-old James ‘Milton’ Johnson IV have stayed together since tying the knot on Love is Blind.

In a post marking our two-year anniversary, Johnson expressed that every day with you feels like a fresh chapter in the greatest love story ever penned. He went on to say that you are not just his love, but his heart, his strength, his all. With immense pride and eternal gratitude, he proudly calls you his wife. His affection for you is constant – always and forever.

Season 6, Charlotte

In the latest season of “Love is Blind,” which aired on Valentine’s Day in 2024, only one fortunate couple exchanged vows at the altar: Johnny McIntyre (age 28) and Amy Cortés (also 28). This North Carolina-based duo has maintained their happiness since their marriage.

A year ago when I got married to you, I believed you were flawless, but witnessing how you navigated every challenge that life presented this year – from launching LIB, facing health concerns, leaving your job, transitioning into an entirely new career, and let’s not forget the constant traveling – has been nothing less than awe-inspiring,” McIntyre wrote in his birthday post.
