Note: Some of the Halloween movies we’re about to list aren’t on Netflix at the time of writing. However, they will be released in time for Halloween. That’s why we still decided to include them on the list.

Halloween (2018)

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but share my excitement about one of the best Halloween-themed movies currently streaming on Netflix – “Halloween”. It’s not just any movie; it’s a sequel to the legendary 1978 film by John Carpenter and brings back the iconic character Laurie Strode, portrayed brilliantly by Jamie Lee Curtis.

40 years later, Laurie continues to grapple with the horrific ordeal she faced at the hands of the notorious masked assailant, Michael Myers. Despite being confined to a mental hospital throughout this period, Michael found a way to break free during a transport to a high-security penitentiary.

Later, he promptly returns to Haddonfield, resuming his murderous rampage. Yet, unbeknownst to Michael, Laurie has been readying herself for his comeback. On Halloween evening, it’s a climactic confrontation between Laurie and the masked assassin in their ultimate face-off.

It Chapter Two (2019)

27 years following the terrifying supernatural horror film “It”, we find ourselves in “It Chapter Two”, where the once-united Losers Club members, who had a chilling encounter with the malevolent, shape-shifting being known as Pennywise during their childhood, have since grown up and moved on with their separate lives.

However, as Pennywise resurfaces in Derry to spread fear and chaos, it falls upon the brave members of the Losers Club to face this ancient menace and end its reign of terror forever. Stream this spine-tingling Halloween film on Netflix immediately.

Evil Dead Rise (2023)

Without a doubt, “Evil Dead Rise” is one of the top-notch offerings in the “Evil Dead” horror series, currently streaming on Netflix. In this latest addition to the franchise, the narrative shifts from the usual remote cabin featured in “Evil Dead” movies, to an old and dilapidated apartment building. The story focuses on two sisters who have fallen out of touch, finding themselves and their loved ones battling for survival as flesh-possessing demons wreak havoc within their apartment complex.

It’s What’s Inside (2024)

On October 4th, I’ll be eagerly counting down the days until “What’s Inside” premieres on Netflix! This comedy-horror movie follows a group of college friends who get together for a pre-wedding bash, but things take a turn when they start messing around with a creepy body-swapping device. The ensemble cast includes Brittany O’Grady, James Morosini, Gavin Leatherwood, Nina Bloomgarden, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Reina Hardesty, Devon Terrell, David W. Thompson, and Madison Davenport. I can hardly wait to see what chaos unfolds!

Scream (2022)

25 years ago, I was just a kid when the original Scream hit the screens. Now, here I am, back in the small town of Woodsboro, where a new generation of us is about to face the chilling return of the Ghostface killer in what’s being called Scream 5. The movie follows a fresh batch of teenagers who find themselves in the crosshairs of this terrifying icon, just like our parents did back then. It’s a chilling reminder that some nightmares never die.

The cast of “Scream” includes Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Neve Campbell, and more. Beginning October 11, you can stream this movie on Netflix.

Wendell & Wild (2022)

Without a doubt, Wendell & Wild stands out as one of the most visually breathtaking stop-motion films ever produced. The story revolves around two troublemaking demon siblings, Wendell and Wild, who yearn to break free from the underworld and settle in the world above, where they can create their own amusement park.

Encountering goth teen Kat Elliott presents a chance for their wish to materialize. However, upon learning what Kat demands in exchange for her aid, the demon brothers discover that attaining their dream won’t be straightforward. The supernatural animated film “Wendell & Wild” is now streaming on Netflix.

Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016)

The movie “Ouija: Origin of Evil,” now available on Netflix, is a chilling supernatural horror production. It acts as a precursor to the 2014 film “Ouija” and unfolds in 1967 Los Angeles. This story centers around a single mother and her two daughters who operate a fake séance service.

As a fervent believer in the otherworldly, I found myself drawn to use a Ouija board during my readings, hoping to elevate my fraudulent activities. Unbeknownst to me, I had unwittingly invited an malevolent entity into our household, which eventually took hold of our youngest daughter. Now, with a sense of urgency, I am determined to do whatever it takes to rescue her before it’s too late.

Here are nine other Halloween movies on Netflix we recommend watching this spooky season:
