As an ardent fan, I must say that witnessing the beautiful union of Richard E. Grant’s daughter Olivia and her long-time partner Florian Wirst was a heartwarming spectacle. The event, held at the picturesque grounds of Grant’s London home, was nothing short of magical, a testament to the couple’s love and the efforts made by the actor himself.

No expense was spared on Sunday as Richard E. Grant’s daughter Olivia married long-term partner Florian Wirst in a ‘magical’ home ceremony.

Previously, Olivia, who is an associate in movie castings and was part of the successful Barbie film from last year, got married to Herbst in July. The ceremony was a small one, with only Olivia’s father and the bridegroom’s parents present as witnesses.

On Sunday, the wedding ceremony took place in the extensive garden area of Grant’s grand London residence, allowing the couple’s extended group of friends and relatives a chance to rejoice in their union.

I, utterly smitten by fashion, proudly adorned myself in the exquisite white bridal gown, crafted by none other than the renowned British designer, Suzanne Neville. Meanwhile, my heart skipped a beat as the dashing Austrian financier, Herbst, chose to don a sleek black tuxedo and bow tie – a smart ensemble that only added to his allure.

The festivities occurred three years since Joan Washington, who was married to Grant for 35 years and was also Olivia’s mother, passed away after fighting stage four lung cancer.

The actor made sure the evening would be unforgettable by hiring Johnny Roxburgh Designs, a renowned luxury event planner, to design an enchanting themed ceremony.

Visitors enjoyed an extravagant meal prepared by Michelin-starred chef Skye Gyngell, proprietor of the Spring restaurant in London, under a tent set up specifically for the occasion.

As a lifestyle advisor, I’m deeply saddened to share that I recently lost a dear colleague and mentor, Joan – a renowned dialect coach. Eight months ago, she bravely faced an illness, and tragically, she left us at the age of 75. Her wisdom, passion, and dedication will be greatly missed in our community.

In October, it was confirmed that the actress had agreed to marry Olivia Herbst, as he posted four pictures showing Olivia, the ring, and a large diamond ring on his social media.

He wrote: ‘Our beloved daughter @oliviagranted got engaged to Florian Herbst this weekend. Pockets full of Happiness!!’

Currently serving as the Head of Corporate Finance at Village Hotels is Herbst, a financial expert with a background from Cambridge University and Austrian nationality.

In 2014, he earned his Bachelor’s degree from Cambridge, majoring in Land Economy – a field that encompasses the study of law, economics, environmental science, business, finance, and resource management.

Prior to relocating to England, Herbst earned his Bachelor of Science degree in International Business, which spanned over three years, from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

Grant previously revealed the ‘amazing mantra’ he has lived by since the death of his late wife.

The actor shared that his wife provided him with guiding principles as she neared death, which have been instrumental in navigating the depths of his grief since then.

On The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show with Helena Bonham Carter, he shared that she told him and his daughter just four days before her passing: “I understand that you will feel sad, but make an effort to discover a little bit of joy every day.

Over these past fifteen months, it has been incredibly helpful to use this guiding principle as I’ve journeyed through the depths of my sorrow. I am truly thankful for its presence during this time.

Additionally, Grant shared that he feels Joan’s absence more profoundly during the winter season, particularly around Christmas and their anniversary in November.

In 2023, he shared with Radio Times that significant dates in their calendar include:

In the previous year, Olly and their partner Florian graciously extended an invitation to me, first to Venice and later to meet his family residing in southern Austria. The entire experience was nothing short of enchanting.

This year, I’ve decided to embark on a trip to the Caribbean alongside my two companions. I’d rather celebrate the holiday season away from London this time around.
