Gemma Collins rushed to hospital and 'nearly dies' following a wasp sting during lavish Venice getaway

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that it’s always a rollercoaster ride following the life of Gemma Collins. This latest incident in Venice is yet another testament to her unpredictable journey. Being stung by a wasp and nearly dying might be a common occurrence for some, but not for someone as glamorous as Gemma!

On Monday during her vacation in Venice, Gemma Collins was quickly taken to the hospital where she stated that she had a close brush with death following a wasp sting.

As a lifestyle aficionado, I find myself sharing an experience similar to that of the TOWIE star, aged 43. Recently, I encountered an allergic response that caused my tongue to swell, making speech challenging. Fortunately, in such situations, it’s crucial to have a supportive partner like Rami Hawash. In my case, he swiftly took action and called for medical assistance – an ambulance – ensuring I received prompt attention when needed.

In February, the businessman documented a shocking event that unfolded when the television personality applied ice to her tongue, all while they were both awaiting medical assistance.

As a devoted admirer, let me share my take on the scene: I found myself deeply moved when, in the video, an emotional Gemma revealed that she and her partner had journeyed to the enchanting Italian city to arrange their wedding festivities. However, the idyllic moment was marred when she suffered a sting as we dined under the open sky, savoring each other’s company.

Gemma mentioned that she was sipping her coffee when suddenly, there was an unexpected sharp pain on her tongue, a sensation that seems uniquely hers.

“My tongue has swollen greatly, which suggests I may soon lose consciousness. However, an ambulance is on its way, and I’ll be receiving injections to save my life. Today, I won’t meet my end.

The ambulance reached the water, whereupon it was determined that Gemma needed immediate medical attention. She was connected to an intravenous drip after examination, then transported by boat to the hospital for further care.

I’m so grateful! The hotel was fantastic, and I can’t thank you enough, Hospital in Venice, along with everyone involved.

While Rami replied: ‘It was really shocking to see love you, get practicing your spiritual work’.

Anaphylaxis is a severe allergic reaction that can be life threatening and symptoms develop suddenly and can include: hives and swelling of the face or mouth.

A week ago, the heartrending details of Gemma’s grandmother’s life, who was suffering from schizophrenia, were exposed during a moving installment of Who Do You Think You Are?

The talk-show host recounted the tale of how her grandmother, Joan, was compelled to surrender her biological child to a foster home.
