As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I can empathize with Olly Murs‘ struggles as he juggles his career and newfound fatherhood. The birth of a child is a momentous occasion that no one should miss, but life often throws curveballs at us when we least expect it.

Olly Murs disclosed that he feared he might not be present for the arrival of his baby girl because of professional obligations.

39-year-old singer known as “The Troublemaker” and his wife, Amelia Tank (aged 31), joyfully revealed the birth of their daughter, Maddison, in April.

In their transition to a family of three, the celebrity has shared insights into the challenges he faces while balancing his demanding profession with fatherhood.

Speaking on Giovanna Fletcher’s podcast Happy Mum Happy Baby, Olly admitted that his wife’s unplanned c-section actually turned into a positive for him.

He indicated that he had nearly assumed I wouldn’t be present, so my mom would attend instead due to the need for companionship. He explained, “I feel it’s crucial to have someone with Amelia. And I proposed, ‘you know what? We now have the opportunity to prepare and get ready for this situation.’

The vocalist mentioned they needed extra time to fine-tune things slightly since, with a natural delivery, it might be up to two weeks overdue or early.

Despite being present at the birth of his first child, Olly had to depart immediately afterwards to fulfill his duties with Take That during their UK tour.

Indeed, it was tough. He expressed this by saying, ‘That was difficult.’ Knowing that Mila’s mother was present always brought me peace. At the same time, I was aware that Amelia was alone.

After pondering for a moment, I found myself saying, ‘I’m heading off to work now’. If I give this some serious thought, I might end up shedding tears from here to the concert. So, I apologized and explained that I needed to leave.

Expressing strong feelings, Olly shared that he felt deeply upset upon departing from Amelia at the hospital, and admitted that he carried a sense of guilt for not developing a stronger connection with Madison.

He shared that he hadn’t yet had the opportunity to develop a connection with Maddie, and admitted he didn’t know her very well. Consequently, there was a strong sense of… He tried hard to keep his emotions in check, but it felt quite poignant for him. He didn’t want to show emotion, but admitted that it felt somewhat like… as he held back tears.

In my experience, forging that bond proved to be quite challenging, indeed, the very one you’re referring to – the relationship. Amelia, undeniably, was extraordinary, but circumstances compelled me to part ways.

Regardless of his guilt, Olly found it necessary to remind himself that he needed to ‘earn a living’ for his loved ones.

Last December, it was revealed on Instagram that the celebrities from Essex, the star and Amelia, had some wonderful news – they were going to have their first baby!

Clad in festive sweaters, a jubilant Olly displayed a picture from the ultrasound scan, gesturing towards Amelia’s growing belly with obvious pride.

He wrote: ‘Baby Murs due 2024’ as Amelia posed in unbuttoned jeans and a white crop top.

When the couple got married in July, Olly shared his hopes of becoming a father one day.

The X Factor star told Hello! Magazine : ‘We’re ready to have our own little Murs running around.

One day, it will be truly remarkable when we can bring our children to Osea Island and tell them, “This was the place where Mommy and Daddy got married.

In a separate conversation with OK! Magazine, he expressed uncertainty about having six children, yet he undeniably cherishes the idea of having children.

13 months after the former X Factor star popped the question, the couple exchanged vows during a three-day wedding celebration that had a festival theme.
