The disqualified trustee stated that the report by the Charity Commission was inadequate and potentially deceptive in its evaluation of the presented evidence.
According to the watchdog, they discovered substantial mishandling of finances, which included booking hotels and spa services.
It came to light that the organization spent £12,000 on a flight to Nice for transporting art and jewelry, and additionally spent £7,800 on an extravagant hotel stay for a model.
According to the Charity Commission’s findings, out of the total £4.8 million raised by Fashion For Relief from 2016 to 2022, a relatively small portion of approximately £389,000 actually went towards charitable purposes.
A review determined that from April 2016 through July 2022, only 8.5% of the charity’s total expenditure went towards charitable grants.
Naomi was one of three trustees to be disqualified as a result of the probe.
In a statement, she acknowledged that, being the public figure for Fashion for Relief, it is her duty to oversee and ensure the organization’s behavior.
I regret to say that I didn’t handle the daily tasks within the organization. Instead, I delegated the legal and administrative responsibilities to other individuals.

‘I have instructed new advisers to undertake a detailed investigation of what transpired.’
Naomi made it clear that she’s never received payment for taking part in Fashion for Relief, and also clarified that she hasn’t charged the organization for any of her personal costs.
She shared that for almost three decades, her passion has been devoted to charitable endeavors, and she truly values the significance and effects of the work she carries out.
Normally, I coordinate my volunteer work with paid jobs that take care of my travel costs and other related expenses.
‘In cases where this is not possible, either myself or personal friends have covered the expenses.’
Indeed, regarding the particular hotel costs detailed in the report, it’s been confirmed that these expenses were handled by my travel agent personally. This agent, in turn, confirmed they were compensated directly by an unrelated third party separate from our foundation.
Naomi stated that she plans to examine every possibility, even filing an appeal if necessary, to make certain the report portrays a truthful and impartial depiction of our company’s activities.
