78-year-old Goldie emphasized the importance of having fulfilling intimate relationships during her Love-In Gala on Friday, as reported by E! News in their recent article, when she talked about the 20th anniversary of The Goldie Hawn Foundation and MindUP.
She added, “Sex serves as a bonding experience and fosters a stronger sense of attachment. Those with satisfying sexual relationships often endure for a longer period. However, it’s not just about the act itself, it’s about the affection and closeness that it generates.
Goldie jokingly added: ‘You have to be nice to each other upon occasion.’
The Oscar-winning actress and Kurt, 73, have been together since 1983 and have son Wyatt Russell, 38, along with daughter Kate Hudson and son Oliver Hudson from Goldie’s second marriage.
She also brought up that couples don’t always agree and that should be welcomed.
She pointed out, “It’s clear that you’ve changed, and sometimes your thoughts differ. However, it’s essential to acknowledge these changes, but let’s consider whether our shared experiences bring joy or if this journey is something we both desire. Do we laugh together? Do we share common interests? It’s not necessary to agree on everything.
Goldie also suggested that people should stay realistic about their expectations in a relationship.
Goldie remarked, “There are often many preconceived ideas about relationships, but it’s crucial that you genuinely like the person involved.
Kurt also shared his advice on forming a strong partnership.
In Russell’s words at the gala in Beverly Hills, California, he mentioned that most couples who’ve been together for a long time usually share a common trait. After so many years, they have likely gone through almost everything life has to offer together, learning about the highs and lows, and comprehending what it truly means to be with each other.
‘I just love the fact that we met and we still doing it. We still like being together,’ Kurt added.
Kurt also has son Boston Russell, 44, with his ex-wife Season Hubley, 73.
