As a seasoned Football Manager player with decades of virtual football under my belt, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming release of Football Manager 25! The switch to the Unity engine and the introduction of women’s football have me buzzing like a goalkeeper on penalties.

Football Manager 25‘s release date has been revealed.

This year, we have a significant overhaul for the well-known football management simulation game series. It will be released on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Game Pass starting from Tuesday, November 26.

The mobile version of Football Manager 25 will also launch on the same date as a Netflix exclusive.

The Nintendo Switch version, Football Manager 25 Touch, is scheduled for a December 3 release.

This year, Football Manager is introducing several updates, such as integrating women’s football and collaborating with the Premier League.

The newest entry also marks a move to the Unity engine as well as a new user interface and upgraded visuals.

According to Sports Interactive studio director, Miles Jacobson, “FM25” marks the beginning of a new era for the studio that could last 20 to 30 years. It’s also an opportunity for everyone to witness two long-term projects of ours: our transition to the Unity engine and the launch of Women’s Football.

We’re thrilled to finally start unveiling the fruits of our labor to you, and we can’t wait to reveal even more aspects of the game as its launch draws near.

Over the next few weeks, Sports Interactive plans to delve deeply into the enhancements they’ve made to the interface, strategies, gameplay, and overall user experience. Additionally, they will offer an in-depth exploration of the new feature: the inclusion of women’s football.

Due to the recent update, several characteristics from past seasons will no longer be available, such as the ability to shout from the sidelines, the create-a-club mode, and the head-to-head versus mode.

The desktop version of international management won’t be available this time, but Sports Interactive plans to reintroduce it as a core feature in an enhanced form for the upcoming edition, offering a richer gaming experience.

In a recent blog post, Jacobson stated that they have thoroughly examined the area of international management within FM, and found that what was initially intended for delivery might not meet our high-quality standards.

As a gamer immersed in FM24, I can’t help but feel that there’s room for significant improvement when it comes to the console and PC experience. A mere 5.6% of saves across all platforms have utilized the mode so far, which suggests we’ve got our work cut out for us to deliver a truly engaging experience for more players like me. The number drops even lower on console versions, making it clear that we need to step up our game and make this journey worth taking for every gamer.

Football Manager 25 launches on November 26 on PC, Mac, PS5, and Xbox.
