Tia Mowry lines up Sister Sister reunion for new Christmas movie
As a long-time fan who grew up watching Tia Mowry and RonReaco Lee light up our screens as the beloved duo on “Sister, Sister”, this news about their reunion in “A Very Merry Beauty Salon” has filled me with sheer joy! Their chemistry was always magical, and I can’t wait to see them work together again. Plus, who doesn’t love a good Christmas movie?
Tia Mowry is reuniting with a Sister, Sister co-star in an upcoming Christmas movie.
In the heartwarming Christmas movie titled “A Very Merry Beauty Salon“, I find myself immersed in a romantic comedy set in Atlanta. This time around, I’m delighted to see Tia Mowry and RonReaco Lee on screen together again. You might remember them as Tia and Tyreke from the beloved show “Sister, Sister“.
The film chronicles Sienna, a beauty salon proprietor (played by Mowry), as she readies herself for the yearly Tinsel Ball, an event at which she is to be recognized for her philanthropic endeavors.
At a charity ball, Sienna encounters an alluring CEO called Lawrence (Lee), who is connected to a well-known wine brand that’s sponsoring the event. However, it appears Sienna’s mother, Donna Biscoe, isn’t fond of Lawrence because she worries he might change the traditional aspects of the event when it comes to her family’s beloved affair.
Cast for the film is rounded out by Cocoa Brown and Ashli Auguillard.
Under the direction of Bobby Yan, based on a screenplay by Tara Knight, “A Very Merry Beauty Salon” represents the culmination of Reginald Mowry’s three-film commitment to Lifetime. In addition to his starring role, Mowry is also recognized as an executive producer for this production.
In additional Christmas-themed cinematics, actress Lauren Graham from Gilmore Girls is going to make an appearance in the upcoming holiday movie titled The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Graham will be lending her voice as the story’s narrator and is expected to star in the film in a significant guest role.
Based on Barbara Robinson’s popular children’s book, the movie unfolds around a small town preparing for their traditional yearly Christmas performance. However, the tradition might be disrupted as a group of unconventional kids, known as the Herdmans, decide to participate in the play, causing a bit of chaos and uncertainty.
In addition, Judy Greer plays the role of Grace Bradley, the director of the pageant, while Pete Holmes acts as her husband Bob. Notably, Molly Belle Wright is cast as their daughter named Beth in this film.
A Very Merry Beauty Salon is expected to premiere later this year.
