Final Fantasy XIV Online Patch 7.1 'Crossroads' Detailed Ahead of Mid-November Release

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that Square Enix never ceases to amaze me with their commitment to delivering top-notch content for Final Fantasy XIV Online. The upcoming Patch 7.1, ‘Crossroads’, promises an exciting continuation of the main scenario quest and a long-awaited crossover with Final Fantasy XI – something I’ve been yearning for since my days of grinding moogles in Vana’diel!

Square Enix has revealed that the primary update for Final Fantasy XIV Online, released after the launch of the Dawntrail expansion in July, is set to release in mid-November.

In update 7.1, known as ‘Crossroads’, you can expect to carry on with the main storyline, begin the first segment of the 24-player crossover event titled ‘Echoes of Vana’diel’ from Final Fantasy XI, new missions for Allied Societies, and much more exciting content!

In simple terms, ‘The Cloud of Darkness’ will provide extra “challenging multiplayer content for all levels,” introducing the initial high-difficulty 24-player alliance raid named ‘Chaotic’, along with a fresh trial, an extreme trial, and an ultimate raid, as well as the new Yuweyawata Field Station Dungeon.

Along with “The Minstrel’s Ballad: Sphene’s Burden” Trial, the “Futures Rewritten” Ultimate Raid, “Jade Stoa” Unreal Trial against Byakko, one of the four Lords, at level 100, and new allied society quests for the Pelupelu, Patch 7.1 will also introduce Nitowikwe, a new custom delivery client, as well as additional Role & Wachumeqimeqi Quests.

‘New installment of the extraordinary Hildibrand Saga’: The New Game+ edition allows you to replay main storylines, job quests, and role quests, along with additional support for the non-main scenario dungeon Halatali. There’s an update for player housing too, giving you the choice to pick interior designs from various residential areas. Other exciting updates are in store as well!

This update also encompasses improvements for the Hall of the Novice offering “combat training for a variety of battle tactics”, as well as incorporating NPC dialogues into Doman Mahjong, among other features. The upcoming Patch 7.1 is scheduled for release in mid-November on Final Fantasy XIV Online. For further details, check out the TGS Producer live stream below.
