Accused and 4 other crime dramas you need to watch in October 2024
As a seasoned crime drama enthusiast who has spent countless hours poring over evidence and following the twists and turns of complex narratives, I am thrilled to see October arrive and bring with it a plethora of enticing new shows. From the gritty streets of CBS to the more unconventional realms of NBC, this month promises an exciting array of crime dramas that will surely captivate audiences.
Television programming for the fall season has resumed, with October being the month that many beloved series make their comeback. Among the networks – CBS, FOX, and NBC – there’s an abundance of compelling crime dramas to enjoy.
If you’re unsure about where to begin, we’ve got your back! While some series will carry on with fresh episodes throughout the current month, there’s also exciting news for those wanting something new this month – here are our top five recommendations for October!
Accused
Let’s embark on a show that allows you to assess your prejudices. The second season of Accused debuts on Tuesday, Oct. 8, offering additional cases where the truth isn’t immediately clear. As each episode unfolds, we discover what the accused is alleged to have done and how the events truly transpired. It appears that nothing is as it initially seems.
In one episode, Michael Chiklis makes his return and also takes on the role of director. A few familiar faces reappear, while many new ones join the cast for each individual episode. This is a multi-episode series, with eight installments in this particular season.
Accused premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 8/7c on FOX.
Found
This month marks the beginning of the second season for another show. With Gabi’s revelation to the M&A team about keeping Sir imprisoned in her basement for an extended period, things have taken a dramatic turn. Now that Sir is free and has Lacey, tensions are high. Can everyone set aside their differences and work together effectively enough to rescue Lacey?
In this new season, we’ll delve deeper into the character of Sir, exploring aspects beyond the tale we’re familiar with involving Gabi. This time, we’ll venture into his past to understand the reasons behind his personality.
Found Season 2 premieres on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 10/9c on NBC.
The Irrational
If you’re in search of something less serious yet charmingly odd, give a try to the second season of “The Irrational“. The show resumes its storyline as Alec and his team are on the hunt for Rose, who was mysteriously abducted at the end of the first season. We’re left guessing about why she was taken and by whom.
As a devoted admirer pondering, I wonder how Alec will cope with Rose’s absence. Given his awareness of both rational and irrational human responses, he’s well-acquainted with the complexities of such situations, as he’s experienced them himself in the past. Could it be that the supportive company of others can guide him through these turbulent emotions while Marisa continues her search for Rose?
The Irrational Season 2 premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 10/9c on NBC.
Blue Bloods
Instead of relying on CBS for our shows, we eagerly anticipate the return of “Blue Bloods”. However, there’s a bittersweet aspect to this as it marks the beginning of the last eight episodes. But on the bright side, these episodes have been specifically crafted to serve as the conclusion.
Without a doubt, this show requires no preamble. With 13.5 seasons under its belt, it’s clear that viewers are hooked and can’t seem to get enough.
Blue Bloods Season 14B premieres on Friday, Oct. 18 at 10/9c on CBS.
FBI: International
Three FBI series are returning this month, but we’re particularly looking forward to “FBI: International”. In this spin-off, the team has undergone a change as Luke Forrester is on the run with his mother. They began searching for him when he went off the grid, discovering that he doesn’t wish to be found, and there seems to be a valid reason behind it.
In the upcoming season, we’ll welcome a fresh character. This addition is bound to bring some changes, as even the departure of Kellett during the start of the third season did.
FBI: International Season 4 premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 9/8c on CBS.
