As an ardent esports enthusiast with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that I was thoroughly impressed by FaZe Clan’s dominance over Team Liquid at the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024. The way they dismantled their rivals on Mirage was nothing short of spectacular, and it’s clear that they have Twistzz’s number.

On September 27th, Team Liquid was eliminated from the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 by FaZe Clan, who have now extended their winning streak against them.
In this clean 2-0 win at Forum Copenhagen, Denmark, FaZe currently leads Liquid 5-0 in their encounters throughout 2024. Interestingly, three of these victories have transpired following Twistzz’s assumption of the leadership role within Liquid, suggesting that his former teammates are well-equipped to counter him effectively.
This victory put FaZe in the BLAST Premier Fall Final semifinals, where a scary Natus Vincere patiently awaits. As for Liquid, they’ll likely stay in Europe for a couple more days before flying to Brazil to attend IEM Rio at the beginning of October.

Initially, the series saw some back-and-forth action, but starting from round five, FaZe Clan took charge and ruled the match on T-side. Justin “jks” Savage of Liquid kept securing crucial kills, and even managed an ace during a retake, yet it was not enough to hinder FaZe’s dominance.
In the second half, a decisive win with a clean pistol round propelled FaZe towards the cash prize, placing Liquid in a tight spot. Leveraging this advantage, Twistzz and the team managed to secure just two rounds on their attacking side before FaZe clinched the match comfortably. Robin “ropz” Kool, in top form, seldom missed an opportunity to rack up kills.

Regardless of Mirage being selected by Liquid as their map choice, it was FaZe who maintained control throughout the game. Karrigan’s team barely lost the opening round in the first half and then displayed an exceptional CT-side performance, consistently thwarting whatever strategies Liquid attempted. In fact, FaZe were so focused that ropz managed to secure an AWP ace – a feat not typically associated with him given his limited use of this weapon.
In such a substantial lead (11-1), it was challenging for Liquid to prevent their loss. Although Liquid won the initial rounds in the second half, once FaZe accumulated enough funds to buy AK-47s, they clearly outperformed Liquid again, leading comfortably to an effortless victory.
What’s next for FaZe at BLAST Premier Fall Final?
FaZe Clan will face NAVI in the second semifinal match tomorrow, September 28th, at 7 PM Central European Summer Time (CEST). Despite being a seasoned veteran, karrigan has yet to win a tournament in Copenhagen. This lack of past success could serve as added motivation for him and his teammates to reach the grand finals.
