As a devoted fan who’s followed Kaitlyn Bristowe’s journey since her days as the Bachelorette, I must say that watching her gracefully navigate her run-in with ex Jason Tartick at the People’s Choice Country Awards was nothing short of inspiring. The strength and maturity she displayed in brushing off the encounter, focusing on her own happiness, and even joking about it shows just how far she’s come since their breakup last year.

They ended their engagement last year after four years together.

But that doesn’t mean Kaitlyn Bristowe is unable to be in the same room as her ex Jason Tartick.

At the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards, the pair coincidentally found themselves on the red carpet. However, at 39, Katelyn managed to handle their encounter casually while chatting with E!.

A video shared on their Instagram depicted Jason, aged 35, gracing the red carpet, as Kaitlyn, waiting for her turn, was just a few feet away, eagerly anticipating her time under the limelight.

She commented that, surprisingly, she wasn’t uncomfortable at the sight of her former partner Jason, who is 35 years old, being so close by. A year ago, such a scenario would have made her uneasy, but now, after some time has passed, she finds herself thinking, “I simply want everyone to be content.

I’m doing well, and I’m simply saying “yes.” I gave a friendly wave. Everything is fine. It seems to me that others show concern more than I do myself.

As we find ourselves sharing the same space once more, I must say I don’t feel the slightest bit awkward about it. To be honest, if you had asked me back half a year ago, my heart might have skipped a beat or two. But today, I’m as cool as a cucumber.

Without a doubt, Kaitlyn sparkled on the red carpet, captivating everyone in a stunningly glamorous sheer crop top and skirt combination that seemed tailor-made for her.

She proudly showed off her well-toned abdominal muscles, along with her black undergarments, while striking numerous captivating poses that turned heads in her eye-catching ensemble.

Additionally, Jason was smartly attired in a sleek, all-black ensemble accessorized with a rich burgundy blazer and stylish suede ankle boots.

Injecting a country touch, he polished off the look with a rustic metallic belt buckle.

Initially gaining recognition through The Bachelor series, they eventually fell in love outside the show’s scope, becoming engaged in the year 2021.

The relationship wasn’t meant to be however – they called it quits last year.

Since then, Jason has been in a confirmed relationship with YouTube personality Kat Stickler, as they made it official in April following several months of rumors and speculation.

Currently, there have been speculations about Kaitlyn getting romantically involved with Zac Clark, a former contestant on The Bachelorette, who was once engaged to Tayshia Adams.

Recently, Kaitlyn disclosed that she conducted a memorial ceremony and a symbolic burial after parting ways with Jason last year in 2023.

During a recent chat with Amanda Hirsch on her Off The Vine podcast, the previous star of The Bachelorette shared this surprising detail.

She confided, “I conducted a small memorial – more symbolic than real. It wasn’t a genuine burial.” She clarified, “I performed this ritual solo. There was no physical burial involved. It was purely a mental exercise.

She explained, ‘It’s more of a visual practice and it is to say your goodbyes and make a little peace with it. It shifts something in the ol’ brain. It really does do something in your brain.’

Previously crowned Bachelorette star admitted that the symbolic burial didn’t completely heal the remnants of their relationship for her, yet she acknowledged that it did offer assistance in moving forward.
