Katie Holmes ‘will visit daughter Suri Cruise at college’ between performances of her Broadway play (but NOT dad Tom Cruise who is footing the tuition)

According to DailyMail.com, it’s been reported that Katie Holmes is planning to visit her daughter Suri Cruise at her newly enrolled school, Carnegie Mellon University, in the near future.
The 45-year-old actress is managing to fit a visit into her schedule amidst her performances of “Our Town” at the Barrymore Theater, located on 47th Street in New York City.
She might be leaving by this coming weekend, as that’s when her college is hosting its annual Family Weekend. This event will occur on the 27th and 28th of September in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – a city approximately 371 miles from Manhattan.
This weekend, Katie will be participating in multiple performances. She’s scheduled for an 8 pm show on Friday evening, two shows at 2 pm and 8 pm respectively on Saturday, and a 3 pm performance on Sunday.

On the CMU website, it was mentioned that Family Weekend is an opportunity for both undergraduate and postgraduate students from Carnegie Mellon University to invite their family members and friends for a fun-filled weekend. Meanwhile, Suri is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at Carnegie Mellon University.
The 18-year-old student began classes on August 26.
Cruise is forking over the money to put her through college.
Back in 2012, when he divorced Katie, it was determined that he would be responsible for all of her educational expenses, following six years of their marriage.
Tom is responsible for covering Suri’s various expenses such as medical, dental, insurance, educational costs (including college), and additional expenses related to extracurricular activities.
According to a friend of Tom’s, it’s true that he covers Suri’s education costs; in fact, he’s been doing so for quite some time. And rest assured, such a responsible person like Tom won’t ever cease to provide her educational support. It should be noted that the yearly tuition at CMU is approximately $65K.
“He consistently meets his obligations without fail, covering both his daughter’s child support and associated expenses. His promise is something he never wavers from.
It seems unusual to consider that Tom is supporting Suri financially, given they haven’t been seen together in public for more than ten years.
Their last snapshot together in public was in April 2013.
Katie, known previously as Katie Cruise, seems to suggest a strained relationship with her father, as she adopted the middle name Noelle instead.
According to Katie, it seems that Suri might be pursuing a career in acting and dance at Carnegie Mellon. As per Holmes’ statement to Town & Country magazine, following her education, Suri has expressed an interest in joining the entertainment industry.
Both Katie and Suri’s father Tom have been in the industry since their early 20s.
It’s not surprising that Suri, who has already acted in a school play like The Addams Family, appears to have an inclination towards either fashion or acting careers.
And Katie has already put Suri to work on two of her films.
In the 2023 film “Rare Objects” and the 2022 movie “Alone Together,” Suri lent her voice to the songs.
‘I’m proud of my daughter,’ Holmes told Town & Country of her daughter.
‘Of course, I will miss the close proximity, but I’m really proud of her and I’m happy.’
In an interview with Glamour in April 2023, Holmes mentioned that she has been trying to motivate Suri to participate in her various projects.
‘I hope she always does something on my films,’ Holmes said. ‘I always ask her.’
Holmes expressed that both instances were stemmed from his affection for the industry, as it offers unique projects that transform into a bond between individuals, much like a family.
