The 118 is back in action in the 911 Season 8 premiere (here's how to watch)

As a seasoned gamer of the television drama genre, I can confidently say that the return of 911 for Season 8 is like a reunion with old friends who’ve been through hell and back. The anticipation is palpable, especially considering the shift in power from Captain Bobby Nash to Captain Gerrard – a move that’s as unwelcome as a flat tire on a long road trip.

Get set for another round of thrilling rescues and hilarious escapades! Tune in tonight, Thursday, September 26th, as 911 Season 8 kicks off on the small screen.

This season promises to be one you wouldn’t want to miss. A significant transformation is underway, as Captain Bobby Nash is no longer leading the team 118. Instead, Captain Gerrard has returned, a development that doesn’t bode well for any members of the 118. His behavior, marked by racism and homophobia, suggests he won’t find many allies among the team.

Where’s Bobby? This series is about to get meta!

Following an accomplished season on ABC, I’m thrilled to share that we’re keeping the momentum going with 911 Season 8! We’re all set to reignite TGIT once more, and the first episode drops tonight, Thursday, September 26th, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Can’t wait to dive back in!

No problem if you can’t catch the series as it airs. Simply tune in to Hulu the next day instead, as new episodes become available at 3 a.m. Eastern Time and 12 a.m. Pacific Time each Friday.

Here are all the streaming details you need:

On Thursday, September 26 at 8/7 central time, the first episode of Season 8 titled “Buzzkill” will air on ABC. You can catch it live on either Stream 1 or Stream 2.

What to expect in the 911 Season 8 premiere

We are jumping straight into a major, crazy call. We’ve seen a lot of trailers that involve bees, and we’ll get to see why in this new episode. During a party, a bunch of killer bees are released. Uh oh!

In addition, we’ll have a chance to chat with Bobby, currently engaged in a consulting role for a TV show. Here’s where it gets intriguing. The series itself is planned to be extraordinarily outlandish, which might become a bit frustrating for Bobby given his background as a firefighter. I suppose we’ll momentarily overlook all the extraordinary predicaments Bobby has encountered throughout the last seven seasons.

From the promotional pictures, it’s clear that Bobby and Athena will reside in a fresh residence soon. The ambiance won’t match the old one, yet rebuilding a house after it burns down requires adhering to the same pace of construction time.
