Netmarble’s new open-world action RPG, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, lets you explore the world of Seven Deadly Sins in a brand new adventure. This guide will show you the best ways to collect Star Fragments in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin.

Star Fragments are the free currency you can earn in the game. You can get a lot more by participating in the Twitch drop event and learning how to claim rewards like Gold and Hero Draw Tickets. All Currencies in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin and how to get them

As a big fan of The Seven Deadly Sins: Origins, I’ve learned that Star Fragments and Star Memories are super important! You need them to buy Gacha coupons, which are basically your tickets to pull for new characters and their weapons. There are lots of ways to get these Fragments and Memories, but each activity only gives you a limited amount, so you really have to grind to get what you want!

Besides the two main gacha currencies, the game features Gold Coins, which are primarily used for various RPG elements.

These two currencies are essential for progressing quickly in the game and creating multiple characters. Gold is used to purchase gear and upgrade your equipment.

How to obtain currencies in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin

1. Main story and side quests

As you finish main quests, you’ll earn both Draw Tickets and Star Fragments each time you complete an objective. Completing an entire chapter gives you enough rewards to do a 10x Draw on the standard banner. You can also exchange Star Fragments for Draw Tickets in the shop – you’ll need 300 Star Fragments for a single Draw, or 3000 for a 10x Draw.

As you play the game and advance the story, you’ll unlock Challenges as rewards. Completing these Challenges gives you valuable rewards with each set you finish. The Challenges become more difficult as you progress, but the rewards also increase, so it’s helpful to keep their goals in mind while you play.

2. World Exploration and Daily Activities

Seven Deadly Sins, like many other 3D open-world gacha games, features a vast world full of things to do – you can discover chests, gather items, rebuild bases, help people, and explore to protect the kingdom of Liones. As you do these activities, you’ll consistently earn small amounts of Star Fragments.

You can earn 120 Star Fragments each day by completing simple daily activities. These activities become available as you progress through the game’s story. Once unlocked, the game will notify you to collect your reward, making it a really effective way to farm Star Fragments.

3. Clearing the game events

The game is very welcoming to new players, with plenty of easy events and rewards. New players can complete a 7-day tutorial to earn the SSR character Guila, along with her special weapon and items to help her level up. Daily login bonuses also provide drawing tickets. I was able to collect enough rewards to perform ten character pulls on the standard banner and luckily got a top-tier character, King!

This event is always running, so you can participate anytime without worrying about missing out. Along with this event, the Trials of Progression and Run Together events also give you 10x Headhunting rewards for each objective you finish. You’ll be able to collect a large number of draw tickets and Star Fragments from all three!

4. Clearing Codex entries

The game includes a Codex, which is like a Pokedex from the Pokémon games. It’s where you collect information on all the characters, items, enemies, and weapons you find. As you explore the world of Seven Deadly Sins and the kingdom of Liones, the Codex automatically keeps track of your progress and discoveries.

The game features two different Codexes. The first is the standard Codex, while the Special Codex acts as a journal, recording story events and encounters. The second is called the Book of Stars, and it displays your account level and world level.

Unlike in Genshin Impact where Catheryne handles daily and level-up rewards, all rewards here are gathered from this Specialised Codex.

5. Redeem Codes and Promo Offers

6. Always check your in-game Mail

Don’t forget to check your in-game Mailbox! It’s an easy way to get free star fragments and draw tickets, plus other useful items, without having to spend hours grinding. The game developers often send rewards through the Mailbox to thank players for their support, celebrate milestones, or compensate for updates and maintenance.

Final Thoughts

Honestly, as a fan, I’d say pick a character you like the look of and who uses the in-game currencies you enjoy collecting, instead of just chasing whatever’s considered the ‘best’ right now. Seriously, none of the starting characters are really bad – you can’t mess up your account with any of them, except maybe Guila. If you get her, just start over! The game is all about building a strong team, not relying on one super-powerful character, so don’t stress too much about picking the ‘perfect’ one.
