You need them to buy Gacha coupons, which are basically your tickets to pull for new characters and their weapons. There are lots of ways to get these Fragments and Memories, but each activity only gives you a limited amount, so you really have to grind to get what you want!

Besides the two main gacha currencies, the game features Gold Coins, which are primarily used for various RPG elements.

These two currencies are essential for progressing quickly in the game and creating multiple characters. Gold is used to purchase gear and upgrade your equipment.

How to obtain currencies in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin

1. Main story and side quests

Completing an entire chapter gives you enough rewards to do a 10x Draw on the standard banner. This event is always running, so you can participate anytime without worrying about missing out. Along with this event, the Trials of Progression and Run Together events also give you 10x Headhunting rewards for each objective you finish. You’ll be able to collect a large number of draw tickets and Star Fragments from all three!

The game includes a Codex, which is like a Pokedex from the Pokémon games. It’s where you collect information on all the characters, items, enemies, and weapons you find. As you explore the world of Seven Deadly Sins and the kingdom of Liones, the Codex automatically keeps track of your progress and discoveries.

The game features two different Codexes. The first is the standard Codex, while the Special Codex acts as a journal, recording story events and encounters. The second is called the Book of Stars, and it displays your account level and world level.

The game is all about building a strong team, not relying on one super-powerful character, so don’t stress too much about picking the ‘perfect’ one.
