Cheers to 100 episodes of Outlander! (See Sam Heughan and Caitríona Balfe celebrate)
Oh boy, I can hardly contain my excitement and emotions as I pen this down! Outlander, the show that has captivated our hearts for so long, is nearing its conclusion, yet we still have a glimmer of hope with season 7 part 2 on the horizon in 2024. As a dedicated fan who’s followed this epic tale since day one, I must say it feels like saying goodbye to an old friend.
Hey there! I gotta say, I’m tearing up just thinking about Outlander wrapping up soon. It’s one of the greatest shows out there, and it’s such a mix of emotions knowing we’re nearing the end. But hey, we still have some time left – we’ve got Outlander season 7 part 2 coming on Nov. 22, 2024! Even though the cast is getting closer to finishing filming the final season, there’s still a glimmer of hope for Outlander season 8.
Entertainment Weekly had an exclusive look at the cast members commemorating a remarkable achievement in television – reaching 100 episodes for ‘Outlander’! A gathering took place, including Sam Heughan, Caitríona Balfe, David Berry, and executive producer Matthew B. Roberts. They were all around a cake adorned with what seems like “a stone speckled with thistle and purple blossoms,” according to the source – a characteristic Scottish floral design.
Take a peek at the pictures provided! And don’t forget to watch the video at the end of the Instagram post featuring our beloved Jamie and Claire actors celebrating with a sword-cutting cake ceremony! However, before you proceed, I’d like to mention that Lord John Grey now sports a rugged appearance with a mustache and beard, while Jamie has adopted a fresh hairstyle.
In simpler terms, Episode 100 of Outlander will be the ninth episode in Season 8. This is because the show has been given a total of 10 episodes to wrap up its epic historical journey. With filming for the penultimate episode already underway, it’s fascinating to consider that they might also be starting on the series finale at the same time.
More recently, Lauren Lyle, who plays Marsali on the show, announced that she has completed filming her part for the final season. As I mentioned earlier, it’s a mix of joy and sadness. I’m thrilled that the series is coming to an appropriate conclusion and wasn’t abruptly terminated. However, I can’t help but feel reluctant about this captivating time-traveling love story drawing to a close. There’s simply nothing else quite like the grandeur of Outlander. Indeed.
Given that the final season hasn’t been scheduled yet and there’s also the prequel series, “Outlander: Blood of My Blood,” centering around Jamie and Claire’s parents, it seems the Outlander universe isn’t leaving us anytime soon. That’s what I’m going to delve into at the moment. What about you?
