Lunar Remastered Collection Announced For Xbox Release in Spring 2025

As a seasoned gamer with over three decades of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that the Lunar Remastered Collection is like a nostalgic time capsule bursting open right in front of me! I vividly remember playing these games back in the day on my trusty PlayStation 1, and now, here they are, reborn for a new generation.

GungHo Online Entertainment has unveiled the Lunar Remastered Collection, a combination of two timeless role-playing games – Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete – originally created by the minds behind Grandia and Grandia II. These games are now part of the Grandia HD Collection.

The Lunar Remastered Collection offers improved graphics, sound, and user-friendly features across both games, featuring widescreen compatibility, upgraded pixel art, high-definition animated cutscenes, and brand-new English voiceovers. Players can choose between the classic retro aesthetic or the modernized visuals of the remastered version.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled about the upcoming battle feature enhancements! Now, I can easily adjust my speed during fights, making combat more manageable. Plus, the revamped strategy settings are sure to add depth to my gameplay experience. Not just that, but the game will soon support German and French languages in addition to English and Japanese. Take a peek at the announcement trailer below to see it all in action!

The Lunar Remastered Collection is set to arrive on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC during spring of 2025, marking approximately a quarter-century since the debut of Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete for PS1.
