John Cena shuts down viral TikTok star who sings to him in VERY awkward moment

John Cena quickly ended a cringeworthy encounter with TikTok personality Harry Daniels, who unexpectedly began singing to him.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! I was scrolling through social media and saw a video of him – my absolute favorite! He’s 48, can you believe it, still looking incredible? Apparently, he was just chilling at a cafe when this guy, Daniels, walked right up to him and started talking! And get this – he’s working on a new Netflix thing with Jennifer Garner! I’m already counting down the days! It’s just… everything about him is perfect, and seeing that little snippet of his life made my whole day.

This TikTok star, with over 2.2 million followers, has become popular for unexpectedly singing to celebrities when he meets them in public – he’s serenaded stars like Jennifer Lopez, Austin Butler, and Cyndi Lauper.

Daniels surprised the Peacemaker actor by launching into a Taylor Swift song, “Invisible String,” right away, without even saying hello first.

Only a few seconds in, Cena looked up from his phone and stood up without flashing a smile. 

The sports star began with a friendly greeting, asking Daniels how he was doing and introducing himself as John, extending his hand for a handshake.

Okay, so this TikToker – seriously, a legend – finally gets to meet John Cena, right? And he tells Cena his name! But then, Cena, being the absolute master of playful intimidation he is, just casually asks, ‘Would you like to sing now?’ I nearly died! It was the most perfect, subtly threatening, hilarious thing ever. I’ve rewatched the clip a million times, honestly.

Daniels replied with, ‘Yes,’ which prompted the star to follow up with, ‘And for what purpose?’

The media influencer explained, ‘Because I sing to everyone. It’s my job.’ 

Cena listened with his hands in his pockets, then politely declined the offer, saying, ‘I’m not interested, but I appreciate you explaining it.’

‘Okay, thank you,’ Daniels said before turning and quickly walking away. 

The TikTok creator wrote in the video’s caption that they spotted John Cena at a cafe and attempted to sing for him, but it didn’t go well at all – it was a total disaster.

In the post’s description, Daniels also wrote, ‘Okay, I take full responsibility for my behavior – I was out of line. Sorry, John Cena.’

One person wrote, ‘You brought that on yourself. Everyone knows John Cena is a stickler for good manners,’ and another typed, ‘He looks so offended, I can’t stop laughing.’

John Cena often talks about the importance of good manners, so it makes sense that he would react this way.

Someone shared, “Let’s just start with a simple greeting.” They joked about how seriously the person meant it, and another commenter pointed out that John Cena is known for setting and upholding personal boundaries.

A video from last June showing John Cena in a slightly awkward situation with a fan became popular online, reportedly because the fan didn’t follow the rules.

A fan asked Cena for a picture, which the sports star agreed to and the pair politely shook hands. 

But then, the fan began filming the actor on their phone without asking, and inappropriately inquired about their clothing.

John Cena emphasized the importance of consent, stating he always wants to make sure everyone is comfortable before anything happens, like taking a video.

The fan apologized as the retired wrestler walked off into the crowd.

Cena came back and apologized to the fan for walking away, explaining he needed a moment to collect himself because he was feeling overwhelmed.

The pair apologized to each other and said there were no bad feelings on either side. 

Cena explained things were pretty hectic behind the scenes, but the fan reassured him, saying everything was alright.

John Cena officially retired from WWE last year, and his last match was in December.

However, he has been keeping busy with a number of acting projects up his sleeve.

Last February, the actor was spotted filming scenes for the new Netflix comedy, One Attempt Remaining.

He has been cast alongside Jennifer Garner – who is also a producer on the project.

According to IMDB, the movie follows a divorced couple who have to rekindle their old cruise ship romance to find a lost cryptocurrency password—a password that holds millions of dollars. They’re in a race against time, and along the way, they start to fall for each other again.
