He’ll talk about his contentious exit from ITV and the daytime program “This Morning,” all while surviving alone on an island near Madagascar.
Spectators can watch as the former host delves into the personal effects he experienced following his dismissal from prime-time television, stemming from the revelation of his romantic involvement with a 20-year-old athlete that surfaced during their tenure on the daytime program This Morning.
According to a source, over the last few months, Philip has received multiple proposals for different opportunities; however, he has consistently declined each one.
‘This sort of challenge has always appealed to him though and after consulting with friends and family, he decided to go for it. It’s all been top secret, and has been an incredibly quick turnaround in order to keep the news quiet.’
For ten days without any cameras or film crews present, he captured astonishingly genuine footage; parts of it are quite hard-hitting and evoke strong emotions when watched.
However, he sought an opportunity to present his untouched, truthful account, allowing the audience to perceive a different aspect of his personality.

In a statement issued shortly after his departure from This Morning, Schofield criticized a group of individuals who were consistently vocal, and he firmly denied allegations that the show harbored a harmful or toxic work environment.

However, in May 2023, Schofield took to social media to express his displeasure towards individuals harboring resentment towards him.
On his Instagram post, the host expressed: “Since I’m no longer part of ‘This Morning,’ I can now openly speak up. It seems like those with personal grievances against me or the program are the ones with the most influential voices.
Working on This Morning has been an absolute joy for me throughout my career, surrounded by some of the finest individuals in the industry. I’ve never encountered any toxic environment during my time there, which is quite remarkable given the number of years I’ve spent there. If you prefer to heed the relentless chatter from certain quarters, that’s your prerogative.
However, countless attendees, numerous employees and crew members, multiple hosts and participants have all come to realize this – it truly embodies a warm, gifted, compassionate, and diligent family.
In December, an independent lawyer named Jane Mulcahy KC, who works for ITV, released a long-awaited review on the controversy surrounding the company’s workplace environment and allegations of a toxic culture.
One employee told the Mail of their ‘sheer bewilderment’ that only one junior worker was aware of the relationship.
The investigation concluded that ITV had not concealed their relationship, and top management had taken significant steps to uncover the facts as early as 2019, which was four years prior to when the scandal became public.
The external examination concluded that the evidence regarding the relationship wasn’t discovered until Schofield personally disclosed it to the Mail in May 2023, which was after he initially lied about it.

Schofield’s former colleague and lover also declined to participate in the report.
However, staff at ITV have been left cross, accusing the report of being a ‘waste of time’.
The study uncovered that a climate of non-disclosure prevailed within the channel, implying that junior staff members working on ITV’s This Morning program are apprehensive about expressing their opinions, as they believe it could negatively impact their professional advancement in the media field.
