On a Tuesday in New York City, Kristen Bell was spotted donning an elegant off-the-shoulder dress in shades of black and ivory, designed by Posse, and expertly styled by Nicole Chavez.
Amongst the two distinct styles, the 44-year-old actress from Forgetting Sarah Marshall chose to showcase while promoting her forthcoming Netflix romantic comedy, Nobody Wants This, was one of them.
On CBS Mornings, Kristen discussed her upcoming series premiering September 24, co-starring Adam Brody. She described romantic comedies as “feel-good entertainment,” stating that they offer something exciting to anticipate, and watching them evokes feelings of happiness and love.
However, spectators found themselves at odds following Netflix’s release of the show’s trailer, as they expressed their strong views on various aspects of the production through social media platform X.
One person criticized, ‘You’d be hard pressed to come up with a better title than “Nobody Wants This” to describe a Netflix series full of so many cringeworthy Jewish stereotypes.’
Another chimed in, ‘Netflix we miss the old you,’ with a sad face emoji.
One user commented, “I was uninterested just 20 seconds into the preview… I can’t wait not to watch this,” whereas another expressed, “You’ve managed to summarize the entire series in the trailer, so I won’t need to watch it.
And one angry subscriber demanded, ‘STOP CANCELING ACTUALLY GOOD SHOWS!!! #deadboysdetectives.’
Others showed their enthusiasm for the upcoming show, with one exclaiming, “It’s great to have it back, with a touch of classic romantic comedy,” and expressing fondness for “Adam Brody sporting a beard.

The seasoned performer had her hair, a radiant shade of golden blonde, styled in a middle parting and cascading in large curls that fell past her decolletage.
As a committed enthusiast, I found myself drawn to the intriguing prospect of portraying a podcaster falling in love with a rabbi in “Nobody Wants This.” To me, it seemed daring, intelligent, and amusing.
In the series, Bell, who is also a co-producer, portrays Joanne, a free-spirited lady who develops feelings for Noah, the charismatic character played by Brody.
The plot line goes like this: ‘Our protagonist is set in his old habits and prefers to tread carefully. However, his predictable lifestyle takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Joanne, a bluntly honest and thought-provoking woman who disrupts his carefully crafted plans for safety.’
The two were spotted filming a passionate kissing scene in Los Angeles this past January.
Previously, Bell and Brody collaborated together on projects such as Some Girl(S), House of Lies, Scream 4, and CHIPS.
In 2022, Bell wrapped up his second Netflix series as both producer and lead actor following The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window, which was a limited eight-episode production. This is to say, in simpler terms, he’s now finished working on two Netflix series, with the first being that specific 8-episode show.
