TEKKEN 8 Heihachi: Gameplay trailer drops with official release date!
As a seasoned Tekken veteran who has witnessed the rise and fall of many champions, I can’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia upon seeing Heihachi Mishima make his grand return in TEKKEN 8. The King of Iron Fist, a man whose resilience defies all logic, is back to remind us that he’s still the one who rules the ring!

In simpler terms, the iconic character Heihachi Mishima, known as the “King of Iron Fist (Resurrected)”, is making a comeback in the Tekken series. Bandai Namco Entertainment has recently unveiled gameplay insights for this character in a fresh Tekken 8 trailer. In TEKKEN 7, it was believed he had perished. Yet, an intriguing hint dropped at Evo 2024 suggested that against all odds, he miraculously endured the plunge into the volcano.
TEKKEN 8 Heihachi release date
According to the announcement, Heihachi will become available for all players on either October 3rd or 4th, depending on your specific time zone. Yet, those with early access to the character can start exploring his abilities as early as September 30th or October 1st.
How to unlock Heihachi in TEKKEN 8
Because Heihachi is a downloadable content (DLC) character, you can acquire him by purchasing the Playable Character Year 1 Pass. This pass includes access to a total of four different playable characters.
To date, the new characters added to TEKKEN 8 as DLC include Eddy Gordo and Lidia Sobieska. Eddy Gordo made his debut on the roster on April Fool’s Day, while Lidia Sobieska was introduced to the game on July 25th.
