BBC crime drama Sherwood renewed for season 3
As a seasoned gamer of British crime dramas, I must say that the renewal of “Sherwood” for Season 3 has sent a thrill down my spine like no other. Having grown up in Nottinghamshire myself, the authenticity and intrigue of this series have struck a chord with me in a way few others have.
Sherwood has been renewed for season 3, the BBC has announced.
Excitedly, I can confirm that my beloved crime drama is making a comeback on BBC One and iPlayer! With the incredible success of its second run, it seems we’ll be diving back into the thrilling world of this show once again. Although full viewership data for 28 days isn’t out yet, I’m thrilled to know that over 6.5 million viewers tuned in for the season premiere!
The debut of season 2 has sparked a surge of curiosity about season 1 as well, with approximately 7.2 million views on the first season since early August.
As a passionate admirer, I can’t help but share my joy when I say that the opportunity to craft tales rooted in and influenced by the rich history of my beloved homeland, Nottinghamshire, remains an unparalleled honor for me, James Graham, the creator of Sherwood.
It’s a dream come true for many British writers to have their series air on the BBC, and I am deeply appreciative of the unwavering enthusiasm that Lindsay [Salt], Charlotte [Moore], and Jo [McClellan] have shown towards Sherwood.
