Pete Davidson Set to Join ‘Tommy Karate’ in Dream Role as Mafia Killer Tommy Pitera

After becoming well-known as a cast member on Saturday Night Live, Pete Davidson has successfully moved into movies and television over the past ten years. He’s appeared in popular films like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Fast X, The Suicide Squad, and Trainwreck, often in smaller parts. However, he’s also taken on bigger roles, most notably in The King of Staten Island (2020), where he was also a writer and producer, and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023), where he provided the voice for the character Mirage.

I was so thrilled to see Pete Davidson back on SNL in early 2026! His portrayal of Tom Homan, as President Trump’s “border czar,” was hilarious and really hit the nail on the head with the current situation at the border. And it sounds like he’s got a lot more exciting things coming up – he’s clearly not slowing down anytime soon! I’m especially excited to hear about this new project he’s developing; he says it’s a dream role for him, and a chance to really show off his dramatic acting skills. It sounds amazing!

According to Deadline, Pete Davidson is joining the cast of a new crime thriller called Tommy Karate. He’ll play Tommy Pieta, a famous and dangerous mafia hitman. The film is based on the true story detailed in Philip Carlo’s non-fiction book, The Butcher: Anatomy Of A Mafia Psychopath. Davidson will star alongside Camila Mendes, Simon Rex, and Paul Walter Hauser, who will play DEA Agent Jim Hunt – the same agent who helped capture drug lord El Chapo – in the movie.
