Prime Video’s latest 6-part crime thriller is gaining popularity alongside other new shows released this weekend, March 27–29, 2026. It’s already become one of the top three most-watched series on Prime Video, proving it’s a standout crime thriller currently available on the platform.
Looking for your next favorite show? Ebaster offers top streaming picks, from gripping thrillers and unique comedies to the world’s most popular animated series. These Prime Video shows are all recent releases and are currently trending globally. If you’re searching for something fresh to watch on Prime Video, you won’t be disappointed!
Scarpetta
If you enjoy crime thrillers, Scarpetta on Prime Video is a great choice for a binge-watch. The 6-episode series, based on a popular book series, boasts an incredible cast including Nicole Kidman, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Simon Baker. It centers around Dr. Kay Scarpetta (played by Kidman), a highly skilled forensic pathologist, as she investigates a recent murder that echoes a cold case from decades past.
Even though reviews for Scarpetta are mixed (it has a 59% rating on Rotten Tomatoes), the show is still very popular and worth watching, especially if you like crime thrillers or are a fan of the original books. The series cleverly combines storylines from two different novels, and book fans will appreciate how closely it follows the source material.
Bait
This week, Prime Video released a highly anticipated new series called Bait. The 6-episode comedy thriller was created by and stars Academy Award winner Riz Ahmed. Bait playfully subverts the typical spy genre with a clever, self-aware approach. Critics have praised the show, giving it a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes after its release on March 25th.
The series follows Ahmed as Shah, an actor trying to make it big. He gets a huge break when he auditions for the next James Bond, but the news gets out too early. Suddenly, Shah is dealing with online negativity and doubts from his family, making him wonder if he’s good enough for the part. At under three hours long, it’s a perfect show to watch in a single sitting.
Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat
As a huge fan of clever TV, I was so excited when Jury Duty came back! The first season was amazing, and the new season is already getting incredible reviews – a 93% score on Rotten Tomatoes! But this time around, they’ve shaken things up. Instead of a courtroom, the whole prank is happening at a corporate retreat. This season, they’ve got a guy named Anthony who thinks he’s just a temporary worker at a little hot sauce company, and honestly, it sounds even more hilarious than before.
You can now watch the first five episodes of Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat on Prime Video, with the last three episodes coming next Friday, April 3rd. If you enjoy funny hidden camera shows or comedies similar to The Office – shows with relatable characters and a documentary style – you’ll probably enjoy Jury Duty this weekend.
INVINCIBLE
Currently, Invincible is the top show on Prime Video worldwide. The fourth season, released in three parts last week, has drawn a huge audience. Based on the comic book by Robert Kirkman – the creator of The Walking Dead – this animated superhero series is critically acclaimed, boasting a 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
With a fantastic cast including Steven Yeun, J.K. Simmons, Sandra Oh, and others, INVINCIBLE is a hit with viewers thanks to its exciting action and often brutal violence – making it a great choice for fans of shows like The Boys. The final episode of INVINCIBLE Season 4 will be released on April 22nd, and the first three seasons are currently streaming on Prime Video.
