Genshin Impact Version 6.5 will be available from April 8th to May 20th, 2026. Players who don’t spend money on the game can earn free Primogems by completing the new content. This guide estimates how many free Primogems you can get by playing everything in the Genshin Impact 6.5 update.
How to Get 12,340+ Primogems for free in Genshin Impact Version 6.5 Update
1. Daily Commissions
The new update will last for six weeks, as expected. If you complete your daily commissions on time, you can earn 60 Primogems each day for a total of 42 days. This means you could get a total of 2520 Primogems (60 Primogems/day x 42 days) by consistently completing your tasks.
2. Spiral Abyss
The Spiral Abyss refreshes every 30 days, specifically floors 8 through 12. Completing floor 12-3 of the Spiral Abyss earns you 800 Primogems with each refresh. During the Version 6.3 Update, the Spiral Abyss will reset twice, allowing you to earn a total of 1600 Primogems from these resets.
3. Imaginarium Theater
The Imaginarium Theater will be reset once in Version 6.5. If you successfully complete the Visionary Mode, you’ll receive 1000 Primogems each time the Theater resets. Since there’s one reset planned for this update, you can earn 1000 Primogems during this patch.
4. Paimon’s Bargains Shop (Stardust Exchange)
Paimon’s Bargains Shop has a Stardust Exchange where you can trade Stardust for 5 Acquaint Fates and 5 Intertwined Fates. The shop’s stock changes monthly, so don’t forget to buy the Fates before the reset!
The Paimon Bargains shop will refresh once during this update. You’ll be able to get 5 Intertwined Fates (worth 800 Primogems) and 5 Acquaint Fates when it resets in April 2026.
5. HoYoLAB Daily Check-In
Every month, Genshin Impact offers daily rewards through the HoYoLAB website and app. You can earn a total of 60 Primogems simply by checking in each day.
Earn 60 Primogems every month by completing all the monthly challenges. You can receive a total of 100 Primogems during this time.
6. Genshin Impact Version 6.5 Maintenance Compensation
Genshin Impact updates usually take about 5 hours of maintenance. Once the update is complete, players can log in and enjoy the new content, plus they’ll receive 600 Primogems as compensation in their in-game mail.
7. Genshin Impact Version 6.6 Livestream
During the recent livestream, HoYoverse shared three codes that each give you 100 Primogems, for a total of 300 Primogems. Don’t wait to redeem them, as they will expire in 16 to 24 hours! You can find all the Genshin Impact redeem codes here.
8. Test Runs
As a Genshin player, I love that they let us try out new five-star characters before their banner drops! It’s awesome because you can actually play as them and get a feel for how they work. And get this – after you finish the test run, they give you 20 Primogems and some materials to help level up those characters if you decide to pull for them. It’s a really nice perk!
With the 6.5 update, we’re excited to introduce the new character Linnea, alongside the returning characters Chasca, Neffer, and Lauma. Players will also receive 80 Primogems as part of this update.
9. Exploration and Offerings
The latest update includes a new map with areas to discover, plus unlockable statues and waypoints. We’re also getting a new offering system and improved rewards when you upgrade Statues of the Seven. In total, all the new exploration content is estimated to reward around 1820 Primogems and 4 Acquaint Fate.
10. Limited Events and Stygian Onslaught
Here is a list of all the limited events we will be getting during the 6.5 update patch:
- Stygian Onslaught (450 Primogems)
- Mini Event (420 Primogems)
- Main Event (970 Primogems)
- Mini Event (420 Primogems)
We can get 2340 Primogems in total from this event.
11. World Quests and Archon Quests
As a huge fan, I’m so excited about the new 6.3 update! It’s packed with quests – everything from quick World Quests to the main Archon and Story Quests. Basically, there’s tons to do and a lot more of the story to dive into. I’ve put together a guide breaking down all the new quests and how many Primogems you can earn from them, since this content is going to be around for a while!

12. Achievements
Okay, so the new update is packed with achievements! They’ve added a whole new category because of the new region, quests, and all the exploration stuff. Basically, the expansion just gives us more things to accomplish. And the best part? If I manage to get all of them, I’ll earn 245 Primogems! Definitely worth the effort.
