A resurfaced video of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs presenting a young woman as his ‘adopted daughter’ has sparked concern among fans, following his recent arrest.
54-year-old Combs stated during an Instagram Live session in 2020 that he took in a girl called Ava, as he desired for her to have a ‘parent of African American descent.’
Nevertheless, the prominent hip-hop figure, who currently faces charges for sex trafficking and racketeering, has not legally adopted Ava as previously believed. Instead, the video featuring her was part of a fictional skit, according to recent reports from TMZ.
In the video, Diddy can be seen planting a kiss on Ava’s cheek, and mentioning that they had officially adopted her, with her mother’s consent.

‘You play with the kids, and I got permission from your mother, say all of that,’ he states.
Ava admits to having built friendships with D’Lila and Jessie, the seventeen-year-old twins of her late friend, Kim Porter.
‘Well, I met Jessie and D’Lila when I was six-months-old. And then we basically are sisters.’
Diddy then repeats that her name is Ava Combs before kissing her on the cheek.
According to TMZ’s report, Ava has been acquainted with the twins since they were young children, and she is currently being looked after by her own family.
Her parents are said to have been friends with Kim, and she remains close with D’Lila and Jessie.

On Wednesday, his appeal to change the verdict was denied, so he’ll stay in detention until the trial takes place.
He is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.
This week, an indictment against Diddy became public, alleging that searches at his homes in Miami and Los Angeles resulted in finding more than 1,000 containers of baby oil and lubricants.
Reports claim that the rapper forced and persuaded his victims to engage in extended sexual acts, which he referred to as ‘freak off competitions.’
According to reports, people close to Diddy are accused of offering drugs to control victims and intimidating those who refused cooperation, much like the allegations Cassie, Diddy’s former girlfriend, made in a lawsuit she filed last year.
The key accusations played a crucial role in the prosecution filing sex trafficking charges against the producer, and it’s worth mentioning that experts have observed an apparent trend of broadening the legal scope to support cases against influential defendants.
In 2000, a higher level of federal sex trafficking charges was approved by Congress with the intention of dismantling prostitution networks and their masters. More recently, however, this charge has evolved to ensnare individuals such as Keith Raniere not just for traditional activities, but also for manipulative behavior.
Remarkably, Diddy has chosen to work with attorney Marc Agnifilo, who famously defended against the broad application of federal sex trafficking charges in Raniere’s 2019 case. This defense ultimately resulted in a 120-year prison sentence for Raniere.
