As a fervent fan of Doctor Who, I find myself deeply saddened and concerned by the recent events surrounding John Barrowman. It is heartbreaking to witness such a talented individual, who has graced our screens for so long, going through such a tumultuous time.

Despite only lasting for 32 minutes during his participation in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, John Barrowman is determined to proceed with his impressive return to the spotlight.

57-year-old actor, previously known for playing The Doctor in “Doctor Who,” had been predicted to revive his television career by participating in a demanding reality program. However, he faced criticism as “unimpressive” by viewers when he chose to abandon the challenge during its broadcast on Sunday.

It’s now been revealed that John’s next plans will include a tour of the UK, which is being tipped as ‘an intimate look at John’s life and career in song.’

A West End artist is scheduled to appear at locations such as Shrewsbury, Chelmsford, Crawley, Exeter, and Newcastle for their performances.

Starting from Basildon on October 11, the tour is scheduled to proceed to several other cities in February and March 2025, such as Weston-Super-Mare, Swansea, and Aberdeen.

Initially, John shared his intentions for a return to touring on Instagram in March, expressing to his audience: “From stages to screens, from the TARDIS to Torchwood, Anything Goes to Arrow and England to America, I’ll be sharing stories directly from the source.

Conversations and rumors swirling as I perform emotional covers of several beloved tracks from my albums.

For a number of years, John has consistently attended Comic Con gatherings, and recently graced the stage at Oz Comic Con in Sydney. In November, he will make an appearance at Comic Con Liverpool.

The star had hoped to kickstart his comeback when he joined the lineup for Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

However, during the initial broadcast on Sunday, it became clear that John left the show mere 32 minutes after reaching base camp. Prior to his departure, he was captured on camera vomiting before eventually deciding to give up.

In an interview with The Sun, John claimed his sickness was a result of being ‘made’ to eat ‘vile tofu’ after being offered no other food.

In a non-vegetarian or vegan context, John expressed: “I swear I’ve never tasted tofu before, but given your current hunger, you might as well give it a try.

The motion sickness sufferer was then forced to endure a two-hour car journey for the task, leaving him green around the gills.

He said: ‘Then it was projectile vomit everywhere and the tofu came up. I thought “I’m not going to make myself ill or hurt myself in order to try to prove something that I don’t need to prove”‘.

Additionally, let me clarify that I wholeheartedly accept myself as I am, which brings me great contentment. Everyone has their struggles and shortcomings, but I admit to having made an error.

In 2021, when John revealed the accusations against him that resulted in his dismissal from the DOI judging panel during the show, he soon became ill and started vomiting upon reaching base camp for the initial challenge.

After the contestants put on their army uniforms the actor began heaving and declared ‘I’m out’.

Expert Mark Billingham inquired if John wished to consult a physician, to which John replied: “No, thank you. I’ve had enough. It’s just not my path, I understand myself and my purpose, it’s not the route for me.

In just 32 minutes, recruit number 13, John, became the initial trainee to depart the training session.

Viewers had little sympathy for the actor and taking to X branding him ‘pathetic’ and a ‘diva’.

Writing:  ‘Never seen anything more pathetic in my life. I bet you thought this might be a shot at redemption as well. Whoopsie!’: ‘Pathetic from John Barrowman’: ‘John Barrowman 32 minutes’: ‘FFS John Barrowman, I knew you were a diva, didn’t think you were a huge wuss as well, certainly done yourself no favours there’.

‘I hope John Barrowman wasn’t paid for that pathetic effort’: ‘Can’t believe John Barrowman quits the only show that was actually willing to give him a job after just 32 minutes. What a prat’.

In this particular instance, during the broadcast, John refuted claims about his multiple instances of inappropriate behavior, which involved exposing himself, on the set of the BBC One science fiction series Doctor Who and its companion program Torchwood.

He claimed: ‘The media accused me of walking around and placing my penis on everyone’s shoulders.’

That incident left a deep impact on me, making me seem broken, but I’m determined to overcome it with this course. I hope others will come to know the genuine person that I am underneath.

Later on, he commented: ‘In Doctor Who and Torchwood, there were numerous nude scenes for me to perform. If I were to act foolishly, I might do something foolish.’

Previously, it was disclosed that John had contemplated taking his own life following allegations of indecent exposure towards Doctor Who cast members during filming.

He said his world came crashing down and his career in TV came to a standstill after the claims emerged in 2021.

In simpler terms, After taking a break from television for some time, John, who will soon appear in Celebrity SAS, revealed that he experienced a severe bout of depression, which led him to consider taking his own life.

John shared with The Mirror that he often contemplated self-harm, considering dangerous actions and ways to injure himself. However, his strong connections with his family and friends prevented him from carrying out these thoughts.

In May 2021, John publicly apologized following allegations that he exposed himself to cast members while filming for Doctor Who and its spin-off series Torchwood, where he started playing Captain Jack Harkness in 2005 and joined the latter a year after.

As a conscientious admirer, I’d rephrase it like this: I, once upon a time, humorously referred to my past behavior as tomfoolery, swearing never to repeat such actions. However, I stand firm against those trying to misconstrue these past actions as instances of sexual harassment.

Later on, he was removed from Dancing on Ice following demands from individuals such as Conservative MP Alec Shelbrooke, who expressed concern that his presence on the family-oriented program might be interpreted as endorsing his previous actions.

Regardless of his dismissal from Dancing On Ice, John made a contentious appearance on All Star Musicals, another ITV program. Additionally, he had to call off his Centre Stage tour because of insufficient ticket purchases.

He said: ‘Something that was a stupid prank that was done amongst cast members and who the cast members never complained, never said anything about, but a narrative was created that apparently I was going around and throwing my c**k on people’s shoulders, which was not true.

Instead of playing pranks, they were internal jokes shared among colleagues, bringing laughter and enjoyment to everyone involved. However, I found myself being reprimanded and embarrassed in a public setting, not just for these pranks, but effectively having my actions dismissed or discontinued.

John said it made him devastated to be called a ‘sexual harasser’ and insisted he ‘would never do anything to harm a woman or a man or anybody, transgender, you name it’.
