On Monday, Lucia Hawley went for an early-morning dip at Bondi Beach, following the recent passing of her cherished grandmother, Janelle, earlier this month.
26-year-old Antonia Kidman, daughter of the ex-TV host and sister to Nicole Kidman, stepped out of the ocean in a one-shouldered blue swimsuit, covering her lower body with a towel, accompanied by her partner Henry Poole.
Henry had his own towel slung over his shoulder and walked shirtless on the clear spring morning.
Both went barefoot and held hands as they returned to their car and got on with their day.
This past month, I had the solemn honor to accompany my mother, Antonia, aged 54, and Henry on a visit to my late grandmother’s residence, who left us at the venerable age of 84.
Her partner, Henry, stayed right beside her and seemed to assist by taking a trash bag filled with empty plastic containers.
Earlier in September, Lucia’s mom, Antonia, was spotted at Janelle’s house in Sydney, carrying a floral arrangement picked from the property.
The family’s loved ones have flocked around the Kidman clan during the difficult time.
Nicole, 57, was forced to leave Venice Film Festival after the devastating news.
On the last day of the Venice Film Festival, Nicole received the Best Actress award for her performance in “Babygirl,” mere hours after her mother, Janelle, had passed away.
Today, I reached Venice, only to learn soon afterward that my amazingly valiant mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, had sadly passed away. This was shared by Nicole during her acceptance speech, which was delivered on her behalf by director Halina Reijn.
I’m utterly surprised and must attend to my loved ones, yet this recognition belongs to her. She molded me, directed me, and brought me into being.
I am deeply appreciative for being able to mention her name to everyone here, thanks to Halina. The blend of life and art is painfully poignant, and it’s leaving me with a heavy heart. We care about each one of you deeply.
