Perry Farrell’s wife says Jane’s Addiction frontman seeking medical help after onstage ‘outburst’ toward Dave Navarro

According to Perry Farrell’s wife, Etty Lau Farrell, Perry is consulting with several doctors following his heated exchange with bandmate Dave Navarro at a recent Jane’s Addiction show in Boston.
On Saturday, Etty, aged 49, shared a message on Instagram that spoke about the aftermath of the conflict between the singer, who is now 65 years old, and the guitarist, currently 57, which ultimately resulted in Jane’s Addiction canceling the rest of their Imminent Redemption tour.
Etty mentioned, “We’re spending some moments apart for self-reflection and healing.” She also shared that Perry has scheduled visits with an ear, nose, and throat specialist (otolaryngologist) and a neurologist.
A specialist known as an otolaryngologist deals primarily with the diagnosis and treatment of issues related to a person’s ears, nose, and throat, whereas a neurologist concentrates on understanding and managing disorders that affect the brain and the entire nervous system.
Etty remarked, “If you truly understand and care about Perry, you’ll recognize that I don’t need to debunk the untruthful stories. Our spirits are attuned enough.
Regarding the incident with Navarro, Etty stated, “We share your surprise over Perry’s physical reaction, just like you. However, it seems clear that Perry was under immense pressure, possibly beyond his limits. In light of this, we offer our sincere apologies.
Etty expressed her deep gratitude and profound humility towards the numerous individuals who have repeatedly reached out, ensuring that she and her spouse are being properly looked after.
Etty mentioned that friends have extended “offers of love, comfort, soothing words, and the use of their homes as a refuge…” and that her partner will “endure, recover, and find happiness once more.
She added, ‘He will once again be able to share his music, vision and artistry – unbridled.’
Etty noted: “When he’s prepared, he won’t hesitate to jump over hurdles again, making us laugh, ponder, and collectively reshape the world.
Etty expressed, ‘Let’s celebrate together! You should realize that this wouldn’t have been possible without your contribution.’
The post was accompanied by text that read: ‘Love. Kindness. Compassion. Grace.’
In a clip taken from the Boston show, Farrell appeared to collide with Navarro followed by waving his arm towards him. Security personnel subsequently escorted him off the stage.
In a September 14th update, Etty stated that Farrell had been experiencing constant tinnitus and a painful sore throat each evening, which could have contributed to the recent event.
Jane’s Addiction issued an announcement, expressing a sincere apology, for cancelling the rest of their upcoming performances.
“The group announced that they are temporarily disbanding and, consequently, the rest of their tour has been called off,” or simply, “The band has decided to take a break, which means the remaining tour dates have been canceled.
On his Instagram Stories, Farrell admitted that this past weekend was extremely challenging. After taking some time to think things over, he felt it was appropriate to extend an apology to his bandmates, particularly Dave Navarro, fans, relatives, and friends, for his behavior during Friday’s performance.
