Virgin River’s Alexandra Breckenridge reunites with former co-stars

As a gamer with a heart for quality storytelling and a knack for recognizing talented actors, I must say that the recent reunion of Alexandra Breckenridge with her former This Is Us co-stars is nothing short of exhilarating! Having binge-watched both This Is Us and Virgin River, it’s like having two favorite shows collide in a beautiful crossover event.

In a unique podcast session, actress Alexandra Breckenridge, known for her role in Virgin River, recently got together with some of her previous This Is Us cast members.

This week, an episode of the in-depth podcast titled “That Was Us” featuring Breckenridge, hosted by Sterling K Brown, Mandy Moore and Chris Sullivan, became available. In this episode, they delve into the show’s 15th episode, ‘Jack Pearson’s Son’, discussing various aspects of it.

The episode marked Sophie Inman’s third appearance as Breckenridge’s future wife Kevin, a role she continued until the end of season six. Here’s hoping this means we’ll see more of her in upcoming podcast episodes, allowing her to join us in the studio instead of just calling in via video conference.

Back in April, they initially unveiled That Was Us, and during that announcement, the group mentioned, “Although the Pearson family’s tale concluded following six seasons, our own narratives still unfold.

Over a span of six seasons and 106 episodes, Tuesdays became our gathering spot, with tissues and kitchen wine in hand. This was because we could relate to the threads of their lives. Whether or not we shed tears at least once per episode, let’s agree that those tears provided an emotional release… for us all.

To date, the podcast has included appearances by Miguel Rivas actor Jon Huertas, as well as Beth Pearson actor Susan Kelechi Watson. Additionally, Milo Ventimiglia, who portrays Jack Pearson, is set to record a future episode.

Currently, preparations are being made for the sixth season of “Virgin River,” as post-production work was completed last month. This upcoming season, consisting of 10 episodes, will continue the storyline following the discovery that Everett is actually Mel’s biological father.

After a leap forward in the holiday episodes, the upcoming season will delve deeply into examining their relationship, along with Everett’s ties to the community.

You can stream “This Is Us” on both Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video. On the other hand, “That Was Us” is available for listening on various podcast platforms as well as on YouTube.
