The friends maintained that no other parties were implicated in the couple’s relationship. However, prior to their marriage, their relationship became a topic of gossip due to the fact that Sheherazade Bentley was already married to Lord Goldsmith at the time.
Lord Goldsmith was also said to be linked to pop singer Ellie Goulding.
He, along with his first wife, who is 50 years old (their daughter of actress Viviane Ventura and financier John Bentley), has a total of three children together.
Four months following the revelation of their split, it is said that Lord Goldsmith, a then-aspiring Member of Parliament, was advised by prominent Conservatives to sort out any personal relationship issues.
In 2006, his romantic involvement commenced with Alice, who is the daughter of the wealthy financier Amschel Rothschild. It was reported that he struggled greatly and pondered deeply before deciding to end his marriage, as advised by friends.
Lord Goldsmith is the child of business magnate Sir James, famously known for saying: “When a man marries his mistress, it leaves an open position.
20-year-old Jimmy Goldsmith ran away with 18-year-old Maria Isabel Patino, an heiress to a tin mining empire, in January 1954. However, she sadly passed away in May of the same year during pregnancy. Their daughter, named Isabel as well, lived on.
In 1963, he wed his second spouse, Ginette Lery who was his secretary at the time. They went on to have a son and daughter together. However, their marriage ended in divorce. Subsequently, in 1978, he tied the knot with Lady Annabel Birley. Together they had a daughter named Jemima, as well as sons Zac and Ben.
