90s teen star – now 52 – starred in a string of cult classics and got her big break opposite Brendan Fraser – can you guess who it is?
As an ardent fan of the enchanting world of cinema, I can hardly contain my excitement upon learning that none other than Robin Tunney, the ethereal beauty who once bewitched us as Sarah Bailey in The Craft, has graced our screens yet again! Her life journey is a testament to the transformative power of art and the resilience of the human spirit.
On a relatively uncommon occasion, the actress famed for her part in The Craft (1996) was spotted in Los Angeles, California during the afternoon of last Thursday.
Despite her 1996 supernatural teen hit, which revolves around a coven of four outcast witches and is one of the most rewatched horror films during this season, she successfully went unnoticed while running errands at the grocery store and buying necessities.
In a refreshingly youthful manner, the actress, once a popular teen sensation but now 52 years old, maintained an ageless glow while sporting her stylish, wavy, shoulder-length brunette locks and keeping her makeup to a minimum.
Prior to assuming the character of Sarah Bailey, she made a significant impact on the global audience through her debut performance as a suicidal teenager in Empire Records (1995) and her part in Encino Man, sharing the screen with Brendan Fraser.
Can you guess who this former scream queen is?
It’s Robin Tunney!
Recently, Tunney announced that she’s been chosen for a role in an upcoming independent film called “By Design.” The movie will feature the talents of Juliette Lewis and Mamoudou Athie.
On Instagram, Amanda Kramer expressed her gratitude for reviving my independent film career that had seemingly ended, allowing me to collaborate with an amazingly talented team, both on and off the screen,” she announced.
She added: ‘I’m grateful to @listentosilk, @juliettelewis, @samantham01, @smudgystuff, and @mirandambailey for helping rekindle my passion for my work. I can’t wait for you all to see the masterpiece we created together.’
Besides appearing in films such as “Horse Girl,” “Cherish,” “Hollywoodland,” and “Looking Glass,” she has also graced our television screens as Teresa Lisbon in the series “The Mentalist” from 2008 to 2015.
The Chicago native is currently engaged to Nicky Marmet, the father of her two children.
In December 2012, during a holiday in Rio de Janeiro, the pair exchanged engagement vows. Their firstborn, named Oscar, arrived in June 2016.
In 2020, she gave birth to their daughter, Colette Kathleen.
Previously, Robin tied the knot with director Bob Gosse, who was then 57 years old, back in 1995. However, their marriage ended in late 2002 when they decided to part ways, and the divorce was finalized in 2006.
She also was engaged to Australian writer and director Andrew Dominik, 52, from 2009 to 2010.
