The Genshin Impact 6.5 update, called “Augured Homecoming,” will be released on April 8th, 2026. This update adds a new playable character named Linnea, a new banner called the Fontaine Chronicle, and two new locations to explore: Dornman Port and Asmoday Space.

Where Waves Meet the Reef (Main Event)

The event will be held in Nord Krai and will be a trading opportunity for groups from different regions. Our task is to help Jahoda during the event, and as a reward, we’ll receive Jahoda for free once it’s finished.

Rapid Capture (Mini Event)

It’s a photography event where we’ll travel to various locations and take pictures with longtime friends.

Surveying and Mapping Studies (Mini Event)

In this event, we have to team with Mika to conduct an interesting mapping and surveying exercise.

Genshin Impact Version 6.5 Update: New playable character, reruns, and New teased characters

Linnea: 5-Star Geo Bow

Linnea is a new 5-star Geo character in Genshin Impact who uses a bow. She’s a support character that focuses on both healing and dealing damage, scaling her abilities with her Defense stat. Linnea is best suited for teams that utilize the Lunar-Crystallize reaction. Her abilities can lower enemy Geo resistance by 30%, and she provides healing and an Elemental Mastery boost to the entire team, both based on her Defense.

She can inflict Geo damage even when she’s not actively in battle, and she uniquely transforms Hydro Crystallize into Lunar Crystallize. Her gameplay is comparable to Escoffier’s. To get ready for her, check out our Linnea Pre-Farm Guide.

Re-runs

Linnea will be featured in the first banner phase, along with a return of Chasca. Later, in the second half of the phase, Neffer and Lauma will have their banners available again. This update will also include a new Chronicle banner for Fontaine.

New teased characters

Seamus Pegg

He is Jean and Barbra’s father.

Gretel

Gretel is a 4* Anemo character in Genshin Impact. She is Amber’s Apprentice.


New Area

Okay, so in Genshin Impact 6.5, we’re getting two new areas: Dornman Port and Asmoday Space! Dornman Port sounds cool – it’s got this special compass that helps you find stuff and get extra rewards. Plus, we’ll finally be able to farm materials from Linnea’s boss over there, which is awesome!

  • From Version 6.5, we can invite 40 players to a lobby in Miniastra Wonderland.
  • Dahlia and Aino TCG cards will be available from version 6.5.
