Story Highlights
- A new Ghost Drop exploit in Clash Royale reportedly reveals opponent cards before they appear.
- Exploiting players can reportedly see a faint transparent “ghost” version of cards 0.6-0.9 seconds early.
- Community suspects a few top players may already be using this trick.
Clash Royale players should be aware of a new issue. A recently discovered exploit allows a small number of players to potentially see what cards their opponents are going to play before those cards are revealed in the arena.
A player known as GenericName1911, who has previously found flaws in the game, recently revealed a trick called “Ghost Drop.” This technique provides a subtle but significant benefit during Clash Royale battles.
This ‘Ghost Drop’ exploit is tied to modified game clients, not standard Clash Royale gameplay
Just to clarify, this isn’t a feature of the game itself. Normally, both players experience the game identically. The issue being discussed involves a modified version of the game software, which is considered unfair and potentially risky.
Uh oh…. New undetectable exploit

Here’s what’s going on: When you play a card, there’s a brief pause before it appears on the game board. During this small delay, the game actually figures out what card you played – it processes the information before you even see it happen visually.
This flaw allows opponents to see your played card before it’s fully revealed. Essentially, they can identify your card while it’s still in the process of appearing, giving them an unfair advantage.
The window to react is roughly between 0.6 and 0.9 seconds, and players can see a faint outline of the card their opponent is playing. However, you can’t see when they’re actually selecting it. In a fast-paced game like Clash Royale, even a small delay like this can be significant.
Fast reflexes are crucial, and even a small heads-up can significantly improve your defense or counterattack. Some top players have been taking advantage of a predictable pattern – specifically, spotting the Princess at the bridge – and this strategy is becoming more widely known.
Supercell hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet, but with so many players discussing this, they’re probably aware of it. Stay updated with more Clash Royale news below.
