As an ardent follower of Samantha Armytage‘s career and personal life, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia when I come across her recent Instagram posts that showcase her childhood memories. The photo of young Samantha sipping on Victoria Bitter is not just a glimpse into the past; it’s a testament to the carefree and laid-back parenting style of the 1970s.

Samantha Armytage has shared a shock photo of herself as a two-year-old.

In the spirit of sharing nostalgic moments, I, as a dedicated follower, reminisced about my past and posted a few snippets on my Instagram Stories yesterday. One particular photo showcased the noticeable shift in parenting styles from the 1970s compared to today.

As Samantha was looking for pictures of herself wearing a ruffled top from her toddler years, she unexpectedly found an image that showed quite traditional methods of child-rearing from the past.

In the snapshot, I found myself sipping on a can of Victoria Bitter, with a group of grown-ups chuckling approvingly from behind.

The TV star captioned the image, ‘I went looking for pics of me in the white frill shirt…ummm.’

‘Parenting ’70s style,’ she added, alongside several laughing emojis.

Another throwback image showed an older Samantha with little sister Georgie, who had inherited the same frilly shirt as a hand-me-down.

‘The most fun part was that Georgie got to sport it as I graduated to a sharper collar, and I added a laugh emoji,’ Sam wrote.

Following rumors that Samantha might take the leading role as the host for Channel Nine’s upcoming reality series, The Golden Bachelor, it appears she has emerged as the top contender.

Last week, entertainment journalist Peter Ford expressed his opinion on the ongoing discussion, suggesting that the Australian edition’s host might very well be Sam.

The popular presenter announced her departure from Seven in August after 21 years with the network.

Upon discussing the subject with X, Peter expressed his agreement with a report on Inside Media suggesting that the likely host for this upcoming event is most likely the former producer of Farmer Wants A Wife.

‘If I were a betting man, I’d put money on @samarmytage,’ Peter suggested.

‘She is currently available on the market, having moved away from team number 7. She has openly expressed her desire for fresh challenges.’

The report effectively put an end to speculation about Osher Gunsberg reprising his role as host within the Bachelor franchise.

Sam became the face of popular dating show Farmer Wants A Wife last year after first appearing as a guest host alongside former presenter Natalie Gruzlewski.

However, she surprised followers of the series a month ago when she declared her departure from Seven, after being with them for 21 years.

Sam conveyed to The Daily Telegraph that her parting was a mix of sadness and sweetness, indicating she believed it was the right moment for her to move on, while also expressing enthusiasm about what lies ahead in her future.

She values her instincts highly, often relying on them. When the right moment arises, she trusts herself implicitly. She takes pride in having faith in her abilities, recognizing when she has given a task her best shot and then confidently moving forward. This was her statement.

‘This is not the end. It’s just the end of this chapter.’
