Squid Game star lands role in new Netflix thriller

As a seasoned gamer and a fan of gripping narratives, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming series “As You Stood By” on Netflix. Having recently binged through “Squid Game” and “All of Us Are Dead”, I’m eager to see Emmy-winning star Lee Yoo-mi in action once again. The premise of two women resorting to murder as the only way out of their personal hells sounds like a thrilling ride that will surely keep me on the edge of my seat.

Squid Game star Lee Yoo-mi has been cast in upcoming Netflix thriller series As You Stood By.

Drawing inspiration from the 2014 novel “Naomi to Kanako” by Hideo Okuda, this South Korean series tells the story of two women who find themselves in desperate situations and turn to murder as a means of escape from their individual torments.

Actress Lee Yoo-mi, known for her roles as Player #240 in Squid Game and Lee Na-yeon in the zombie teen drama All of Us Are Dead, will be appearing in As You Stood By together with Jeon So-nee, Jang Seung-Jo, and Lee Mu-Saeng.

Trapped in an abusive marriage with Jin-pyo (Jang Seung-Jo), Hui-su starts considering murder as the means of escape from this toxic relationship and seeks Eun-su’s aid for help.

Lee Mu-Saeng takes on the character of Chen Shaobo, proprietor of the Jinkang Store. Upon learning about Eun-su and Hui-su’s scheme, Chen decides to support them.
